Allure Travel by CTM

"I booked a vacation through Kim because a relative was doing a destination wedding and we had to book through her. My reservation included 8 travelers. Throughout the booking process Kim was defensive and unprofessional whenever I asked questions about the pricing and why it was more expensive through allure travelers (not including the booking fee). As a client I believe that I have the right to ask questions. Another issue I had was that Kim would make comments that people wouldn't say thank you or give her recognition for what she does....this is her career and she should not have that expectation. On the day of travel while checking in at the airport we had issues checking in because Kim did not put our names correctly on the reservation even though I emailed them to her exactly how they are on everyone's passport. This caused issues on the return flight as well and the Delta staff at Des Moines airport even said that we should get another travel agent because this should be simple enough to do. Ultimately I I realized that I would never use a travel agent again u less I'm forced to because this experience was very unpleasant and more stressful to deal with Kim's attitude/personality. Kim also never followed up to even ask how the trip was and if we had any inconveniences...this may have been a little helpful in my perception of her. This also gives me a bad perception of Allure Travel in general."

"Dealing with allure travel has been an absolute nightmare and would not recommend to anyone. The rudeness of our agent Kim Staker is only beaten by her incompetence. We booked a trip to Mexico and it was a headache from the beginning. Our agents incompetence cost us over a thousand dollars because the cancellation wasn’t done properly. She would constantly get defensive when I would ask her questions and was extremely unprofessional. If you need a travel agency do yourself a favor and choose someone else."

"I had the pleasure of recently working with Jenny. She is a true travel professional. I usually book my own travel, but had to plan a European trip for my 23 year old daughter to take on her own. I had tried my best to book myself and the best I could manage was going to cost me over $3K one-way, with 2 layovers, one was 6 hours. Not ideal! Jenny was able to get me a round trip ticket, arriving and leaving from two different countries for $1200, and just one layover each way of 90 minutes. It was perfect! I knew with this itinerary, my daughter was in good hands. My daughter returned from her 10-day trip last week and her travel went very smoothly. Jenny is amazing!! I will definitely use her again for any foreign travel."

"Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Talked with a "Jenny" about booking a vacation with them. After several short responses from her, she gave us multiple reassurances that she would find locations in mexico we would love. She told us to give her 48 hours and said she would reply with multiple locations. Waited 5 days then called, said she was "getting around to it" and should "see it in our inbox by the afternoon". Never did. She had both phone numbers and emails, never bothered to respond or reach out with questions OR quotes on vacations....and in my experience that is what a travel agent is for. Waste of time."
