"I stopped in this place towards closing time to grab some sushi. I was greeted by John, who was super friendly and outgoing. I asked him what his favorite 2 rolls were and he ended up telling me about 3 of them. I asked him to order me two rolls of his choice. One of the rolls that I particularly liked was the black pearl. It had a lot of great texture, lots of great flavor and just overall was a tasty roll. I will definitely be back to this place. Thanks John for the awesome service."

"It was so amazing especially because it was the first time eating out by myself. My waiter was so friendly. Great place for a first date or just a night out. I have no complaints. I don't remember the soup name just that is was hot and sour and I had the asparagus shrimp which was amazing."

"Stopped after a long day of traveling, always ready for some good sushi. Cons: fish portions are tiny compared to competitors. I had two rolls, they both tasted like rice. Boring. No light soy at the table, regular soy easily overpowered the slight fish flavor. Pros: my server Emily was awesome. She was available and attentive while being friendly. Squid!!! First restaurant in the Midwest I have found squid in something other than ring calamari. Recommendation for Hiro 88, capitalize on the squid and offer both raw and cooked dishes. A calamari steak main dish is an amazing thing. Calamari steak fries are also a great appetizer option."

"I think it could’ve been delicious, but the food was a little dry. The Walnut Shrimp did not have enough sauce, so mainly just tasted the breading. And the Pork Buns was very dry. The service and atmosphere was great. And the food looked amazing, but it just didn’t taste as good as it looked. Maybe it was just an off night? I’ll definitely try again next time I’m in town though."
