Hyundai to extend my transmission warranty for 1 year or 10000 miles as matter of fact, I expect that. However, Hyundai is questioning whether they should or not. What do you think? "I had to take my car today to the service. I was told that it would cost approximately 180$ to reprogram the key fob for the car. I have Hyundai Fusion 2016. I was told on the phone prior to coming that the check will be for free. So today I was on time. I arrived at 12pm. It looked good at first since Samuel, the guy who received the car, tried to make personal contact with me and was nice. That is what all sellers should do. Additionally, the car service provided since the work time was expected to be 2 hours. The car took us where my wife wanted to go shopping. After two hours, I sent a message inquiring how things things going and when should we arrive back? Samuel answered that it is taking a little bit more time since there are lots of things to check. I said ok and asked if it was ok if we went to another place to shop. Samuel answered, "Yes" and gave us a phone number to call to get us back to the dealership when we are ready. So, 3:30 hours later we came back, the car was not ready and I asked what is happening. Samuel answered that they are experience issues to reprogram the key fob. So, we had to wait longer. Finally, after 4 hours of waiting, Samuel said they couldn't reprogram the key nob. HOWEVER, they added engine coolant and did the diagnostic for free and gave 4 bolts to hang my license. So, for these things they charged me 190 dollars. When I asked what am I paying for if you didn't fix the issue, Samuel responded that the mechanic spent 4 hours of his time on this... Well, if the mechanic earns 45$, I am happy for them, but explain to me why it takes 4 hours to find out with a computer that reprogramming doesn't work. It is a software and it shouldn't take more than 15 min to run and diagnose what is wrong. At least if you have good software. Long story short, they didn't fix the main problem I came to them for, I waited 4 hours to be charged almost 200$. I would not recommend that place based on my own experience. Update: the price of the mirror that I was told needs to be replaced on amazon is 15$. It took me 10 min to replace my driver-side mirror. Samuel was trying to rip me off and offered to replace the whole mirror due to "complex electronics" in the mirror for 260$. I have papers to prove it. FIRE this guy, please."
