"Gina is very nice. I owed money to them from an apartment complex in Vegas and was able to work with her to make the both of us happy. She explained things to me in detail and was patient in explaining everything. I am awaiting letter in the mail showing debt as cleared and will update review after, but everything seems good here. If you owe them, I would just call and figure out what they can do to work it out. I honestly wish I had cleared this up earlier. Hopefully the next one I try to clean up (medical bills with a different agency) will work with me too. Edit: They cleared everything up and I was very happy with the resolution. Definitely work with them if you have something negative on your credit report."
"This company uses a law firm named Donna Armenta that I believe is the same company as a way to use the credit collections law against people to obtain collections payments similar to ambulance chasers...I had to fight the company in court even after I had paid the original creditor, and before any court action was taken. Unless you have the time and/or legal representation which most people don't they will use all unethical resources they have to try to obtain money for the law office."
"My mom works for a collection agency so I put it on speaker when I called in because I don’t believe the debt is mine & on my 1st call I couldn’t remember the term VOD & the representative had told me had I to dispute in writing to get one. According to my mom I now have a $1000 claim against them for not reading the legally required warning that the calls are recorded & for the purpose of debt collection."
"Tell acct. Corp to provide written documentation how much they paid to acquire debt. . If they say you owe $2200 they probably bought debt for $50. Then they need a court order saying debt is valid under Nevada law. I'm going to sue them for 10x the amount they put on my credit report for financial libel/slander. I've Won in court against 2 other debt collectors here in Las Vegas Nevada. I'll show you how."
"APRIL 21 - I was assured by David Kaplan that I would receive both a letter and an email showing that the collection request was made in err. The doctor's office had my correct address but had been mailing billings to an address that was not mine. No explanation. Doctors office was very apologetic. We made a 3 way call with AcctCorp where David Kaplan gave me reassurance that letters would be forthcoming showing that amount due was cleared and that this would not hit my credit. No letter was forwarded to me- neither by email nor USPS. I phoned back two weeks later, spoke with 3 different people, all telling me that management and David Kaplan were busy in meetings. Rod then assured me he would forward message to David Kaplan and this should be easy to clear as my account is obviously showing cleared. They seem so forceful and expect immediate results when calling debtors to collect. But they seem to care less, when the error is not on the part of the debtor... when the error is instead theirs or the original clients (in my case, the doctor office). Those of us with impeccable credit records want to keep it that way. I expect at least what was promised... that letter and email showing the problem cleared in a timely fashion and that it was not me, and that my excellent credit score remains intact. May 6th and still no letters received."
