"I'm a real estate broker and multiple property owner. I've had to and still deal with them on several properties. Besides the heavy bureaucracy, my main complaint is when we had a flooding event at a condo which they assured me would be covered by insurance. I did my own research and found out it was NOT. Fortunately, I had not already signed on to their preferred remediation company for repairs, which would have made me responsible for the over $10k cost. Yet they still threatened me when I refused to do repairs to my own unit that I was not legally obligated to do. Very unprofessional. I also have had much difficulty in setting up autopay, having to send in forms multiple times, being charged late fees while on autopay, etc. Once I even had to contact an account manager's supervisor for resolution as she would never return my calls and letters, confirm receipt of autopay or address the erroneous late fees. Trying."

"Aloha - I am an owner at one of the complexes that Hawaiiana Management Company oversees and would like to express my disappointment and frustration about the lack of responsiveness from this company in addition to concerns about some of their fees they charge. I have attempted many times to get in touch with our community representative, Carol. Often times it takes weeks (or in my last case, over a month) and still no reply. I was concerned about some of the fees they are charging and have been questioning these for a while now. I even emailed the President, Mike and his reply was that he was sorry to hear about my concerns and he will have someone reach out - no one has and it has been a week now. Hawaiiana boasts about how they are the largest management company in the state though they are extremely disorganized, do not reply to communication, and do not wish to take action when items in the neighborhood arise. I strongly encourage those looking for a management company to look elsewhere. I am hoping that my community board members will see these flaws and look into finding a few company to manage our condo complex."
