"My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Rocky Mountain Cottage, and it was an absolute delight. Despite encountering a few minor hiccups, we highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone looking for a cozy retreat in the mountains. The cottage itself is super adorable, with all the comforts of home. It's just the right size for a family of five, offering ample space and cozy accommodations. The decor is charming and adds to the overall ambiance of the place. One of the highlights of our stay was the proximity to Grindstone Lake, which offered fantastic opportunities for hiking and fishing. Additionally, being close to Sudderth Drive - breweries, delicious food options, shopping spots, and even wineries! Overall, our experience at the Rocky Mountain Cottage was wonderful. Despite the minor hiccups, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would happily return in the future. "Beautiful view! Ice maker not hooked up per owner ( did not know this till we got there). Kitchen could have been equipped better with larger cooking pans etc. One dish towel for a weeks stay. Rental place was helpful and easy to work with."

"118 Hilltop in Ruidoso, NM. Nice property, separate apartment attached to the main house was a nice bonus. Not clear online, but a pleasant surprise except when we had to walk outside to shower or use the toilet. The main house is older and the plumbing was in disrepair. Multiple calls to management said they would fix the issue, but we continued with feces in the shower and Jacuzzi tub throughout our stay (from the toilet after one flush). On the last day, they said housekeeping would be sent to the property. Person on the phone told me that we had three other bathrooms and the plumbing issue requires owner approval. Both mangers who could authorize a partial refund were in a meeting at 2pm. Left two puhone numbers for a call back. Must have been a long meeting as they never called us. We paid $2400 for a four bed, four bath home because we were bringing nine adults. If we had intended to share bathrooms, we would’ve rented a motel room. Water pressure is also terrible, you can only use one water appliance at a time. For example, someone can take a shower, or you can wash dishes in the kitchen. You can run the washing machine, or you can take a shower. Not a huge issue, especially because we were down a bathroom. But we did miss the jacuzzi tub. :( Other minor issues, DVD player is broken & ancient gas fireplace is inoperable. We had a great time with our family, but would’ve appreciated better customer service from the management company. No problem taking our money and sending us multiple check out reminders but couldn’t call us back about serious plumbing issues. Hope they sanitize that jacuzzi tub before someone gets sick using it. And it’s going to take some serious scrubbing to clean all the broken tiles in the poop shower. Maybe customer service should have listened on Tuesday morning instead of waiting all week. Definitely staying elsewhere next year."

"Love, love this place! Have stayed twice and can’t wait to go again! Cabins are old and small but very comfortable and quaint. Although the cabins are right off a busy road, you can’t tell. Has been quiet both times I’ve gone. The deer and elk came through both morning and night, so awesome to see. Some came almost right up on the porch to the large window, so cool!"

"Centrally located to downtown, shops, restaurants, and wine tasting! Easy access to entertainment. Cabin was very clean and cozy. Staff was very responsive and friendly! We arrived the first night and had no running water, but Mark immediately helped us get the water going! Office staff and Mark were extremely helpful and friendly! My family and I were very happy with our stay."
