"I went to Hawaii the big Island with my family. One of the events we planned was to go snorkeling and swim with the Mana rays. We chose Kona Ocean Adventures. On our way out to the snorkeling we saw whales breaching. They chose a nice place to see a-lot of fish. The lady guide was real good in showing my 9 year old granddaughter how to snorkel. The swimming with the Mana ray is at night and when we did that that really topped off the event. My granddaughter and grandson loved it so much so did the rest of my family. It was a first class event. Seeing the Mana rays was a very exciting they came right up to you. This is something you should experience. When getting out of the water they even hose you off with warm water when you get out of the water serve a nice food platter and give you warm towels to wipe your face off on the trip back to the harbor. If you want something to talk about I highly recommend this event."
"We had the best time on our evening manta ray snorkel. Got up close to humpback whales on the way to site! Then at the manta ray site we got out in our little group and had an incredible personal experience, the crew made our trip very memorable and fun. The smaller tour is hands down the best way to see the manta rays!"
"We had an awesome time on our Sunset Manta Snorkel with Kona Ocean Adventures. Our all-star team of Johnny, Justin, and Joe made our adventure very enjoyable. The sunset from the boat was beautiful as we approached the snorkel area. The boat ride over was less rough than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. Upon arrival, the crew set up the boards for us, and almost immediately, we had manta rays approaching. We quickly jumped in and had a wild experience as the massive manta rays barrel rolled just inches away, feeding on plankton. The crew was super engaging and energetic, making the entire trip exciting. After our snorkel, we were offered a hot shower and served some delicious pineapple and hot chocolate. Overall, the trip was a stand-out of our vacation, and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Kona as a must-do. The Triple J's (Johnny, Justin, and Joe) made it an epic memory!"
"We had a Christmas Day manta experience with this team and it was awesome! We had 3 adult kids snorkeling and my wife and I dove. Great crew of Justin, Joe and Paul. Stories and services were 5 star and we have done dive boats all over the world. Nice touch’s of warm water shower on the boat!! And eucalyptus scented hot towels!!! Oh yeah, and saw a fleet of Mantas up close and personal."
"I was fortunate to have owner Danny and first mate Gina along for the extraordinary Kealakekua/Captain Cook Adventure snorkeling excursion. They were lots of fun and knew their stuff. I was on the 7 AM departure which ensured that we were able to snorkel for at least a hour in the bay where the James Cook Memorial rests without the throngs from all the other tourist boats. And the snorkeling was fantastic! Definitely worth getting up early for! Our group also had the rare opportunity to touch and interact with a beautiful octopus Gina was somehow able to find 60’ deep. She is amazing. We also saw spinner and bottlenose dolphins and Danny went the extra mile of stopping at different places hoping to find manta rays, which we didn’t find, but we did find a school of “baitfish” which were several hundred thousand strong! This is a very small group excursion and we were provided with towels, lunch and various types of drinks. Masks, snorkels and fins were also available if needed. Highly, highly recommend this tour."
