"My wife decided to celebrate her 50th birthday on Maui. She then wanted to check off a bucket list item to take a horseback ride to the beach. We were welcomed by the owners with open arms. They made us feel really comfortable and quickly got us up to speed on the ranch and the horses. Their pup loves to play fetch, so warm your arm up upon arrival. We rode Smokey and Tucker down the path as Pat led us to the beach for a few pictures and then up the hill for more amazing views. Thank you so much for making our experience so amazing!"

"My husband and I did the sunset ride during our honeymoon in Maui... needless to say it was by far our favorite part of our vacation. It was worth every penny and is actually pretty comparable to other stables on the island. Heidi our guide was great & informative and the views were stunning. The horses looked well-cared for and were amazing trail horses- very easy to ride, even for my husband who was a first timer. To my knowledge this is the only stable that offers a ride where a portion is actually on the coast in the sand. We also went through wooded areas, lava fields, and cliff side to watch the sunset over the ocean. When we go back to Maui one day we both agreed we'll go back to Makena Stables!"
