"I've stayed in or seen 10+ condos in this Maui Kamaole complex. This unit is one of the better ones. I'll make a few comments here with comparison notes. The prices for Maui Kamaole condos have risen dramatically the past couple of years, so hopefully my comments help others judge what fits their budget! This unit was priced pretty high compared to other MK options, but it probably fits that price given how nice it is. The view is great and better than almost all others. It's a true ocean view unobstructed. You do look over the parking lot by the water, but the condo is on a hill and that can be ignored. Only a few other front G and H units have better views. The BEST views are to the SW. This unit is SE which is still a great view, just not the best of the best. The appliances, kitchen cabinets, counters, bathrooms, etc. have all been upgraded. Everything felt in good repair and clean. The seating was comfortable and in general as good as any other condo you may find in MK. The only slight weakness is that the bathroom tiling feels a little dingy. The showerhead in the bedroom bath was a little low to my liking, but most probably wouldn't notice. Some other units have overhead shower heads coming from the ceiling which this one does not. This is a smaller quibble, and really, the only thing I would suggest upgrading in the entire unit. The best part of this unit is the owner's care for their guests. They actually make sure the unit has proper working beach chairs and a quality umbrella. There were lots of "little things" that you don't find in other units, like cooler bags and beach toys for kids. The bathrooms have liquid soap dispensers with actual soap in them! Beware the bigger rental companies! They will give you ONE itty bitty bar of soap, ONE trash bag, ONE roll of toilet paper, etc. The owners don't play that nonsense penny-pinching game. There were even extra ziplock bags in the drawers. There was extra soap for both the dishwasher and clothes washer. All of these little things really make you feel welcome. Finally -- RENT DIRECTLY FROM THE OWNER -- don't go to vrbo or wherever. The owners were very friendly, helpful, and communicative. It was a breeze working with them directly, which let's be honest, saved them more money than me, but I bet/hope the owners will try to keep their prices down if people continue to do so. "So glad Doug and Linda have opened their Maui home to us. They are great to work with and have the condo setup with everything you need. We actually enjoy cooking at the condo and having a relaxing dinner on the lanai. Can't wait to return."

"Immediately upon entering Maui Kamaole condo, it is evident that the owners actually *use* their vacation home; everything to make life more comfortable has been considered. Everything works well in this comfortable home and it was exceptionally clean upon arrival.The bed is comfortable, the showers are good and the linens are nice. The retractable awning over the patio makes a big difference when the sun is most intense, and the (quiet) ceiling fans help keep the rooms cool and comfortable at night. The large TV works well, and conveniently angles into the living room or into the dining room/kitchen. Lighting throughout the condo is nicely layered, with bright lights for tasks, softer lamps with tri-light bulbs for reading and dimmer switches in the dining room to adjust the mood. Additionally, the condo comes well stocked with supplies such as tissue, laundry soap, aluminum foil, SaranWrap and other staples, and the kitchen has high quality pots, pans and crockery. The condo is well-located with a southwest facing lanai that takes advantage of the ocean-views and dramatic sunsets. The pool and BBQs are a very short walk, and the designated parking spot was shaded for most of the day. It is an easy stroll to the beach, and the hosts have provided beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and nice beach towels. Linda and Doug were wonderful hosts who responded to us quickly and followed up regularly. We would definitely stay again, and highly recommend this lovely south Kihei home."

"We enjoyed our stay. Great location, central to travelling the island, close to restaurants although we rarely ate out the kitchen was well stocked with equipment to prepare our own meals. Close to beaches and condo well supplied with beach supplies( towels, chairs, coolers,etc. Very comfortable bed. Linda was very very pleasant to deal with, most accommodating."

"What a fantastic place to stay!! The Sunset view from the Lanai is unobstructed, the condo is well and tastefully furnished and decorated, with paintings from the lovely owners Linda and Doug. Plenty of linen, beach towels, beach chairs etc...and all the cookware and utensils you need. There is even a well supplied spice cabinet!! Large flat screen TV , a hub for music, and more. The condo is very conveniently located in Kihei across some great swimming beaches , an easy walking distance. The unit is very private, you can hear the birds and the ocean when waves are big. We have been there many times and still love to come back! We highly recommend it!!"
