Capital Glass

"Capital glass located in Carson City, NV is by far one of the worst businesses that I've ever dealt with. I called to schedule an estimate for having the rollers replaced on my sliding glass door. I was told that I would receive a call back within 2 days. A week later and nothing! I call back and this time they schedule an appointment over the phone for approximately 2 weeks out. On the morning of the appointment I received a call 30 minutes prior to the appointment saying they would have to reschedule. So we reschedule for another week out. Same exact thing happens, 30 minutes before the appointment I receive a call saying that they'll need to reschedule once again. The excuse was that he's having trouble getting people to show up to work. We rescheduled for a couple days out and I was told that he would send out 2 guys with the correct rollers for my door as I gave all of the information needed over the phone, including needed 2 guys to lift my oversized door out of the track. From the beginning I explained that the sliding glass door won't lift out of the track as it was physically too tall. I explained that either it was installed this way or the header has sagged over the years. Capital glass had all of this information before they came out and said they deal with this all of the time and they have special tools to remove the door. Someone finally shows up (1 guy) not the 2 guys they said that would show up. They sent him with the incorrect rollers as well. The guy said that he knew what rollers the door used and would have a quote sent to me. 3 weeks goes by and absolutely nothing! I finally call and ask to speak with the owner (Craig) All that he offered was one excuse after another. I've NEVER dealt with such a terrible company in my life. Absolutely no customer service or admitting their mistakes. I wouldn't recommend Capital glass to anyone! By the way, the special tools for removing the door was a pry bar! Not joking. They would have destroyed the vinyl on the bottom track. I don't know if they have their own employees or use sub contractors, but either way it was terrible!"

"AMAZING service. I had a glass insert in a hutch door break during a move and could not get other glass companies to return my calls. I happen to see a Capital Glass truck and the driver told me the office in Carson City would take good care of me. And they sure did! Stacy at the counter was awesome and their techs had the glass cut and fixed in no time! They did beautiful work at a really great price! I would highly recommend Capital Glass!"

"Called capital glass and let then know I'm selling my house so I'm on a time crunch to get an estimate. I called 15 days in advanced and was told tough luck, we can't make it out for 10 to 15 business days. I understand times are busy, but I tried to book it anyways with hopes it may turn out earlier. Come to find out the office doesn't even schedule the appointments? The woman in the office had to send my information to a technician and said he would be calling me to schedule. 4 days later, we never heard back. I called again to follow up and was met with a rude, sour attitude from the woman running the office. She stated again, it's 10 to 15 business days.. I informed her that it was supossed to be that long for a technician to come out, not to call me and book a time. She said "same thing." She said she has no clue when they'll call me and they'll basically just get to it when they feel like it. I had to cancel the request as I'll be moved out of the home by the time they even call. I wouldn't want to do business with such a rude, messy, disorganized company anyways. What is the point of the office if they can't even assist with the BASICS? She knew nothing about how the technicians worked or even the company for that matter. Take your business anywhere else!"

"The first time I called this company for another home, they called back and said they would get back to me but I never heard from them again. Stupidly I decided to try again with this home. First of all, she answers the phone and takes messages. You have to wait for someone to call you back. She said, "two or three days" for the call back. It's now been THREE WEEKS. How this company has a 4.4 rating is a mystery. For the record, what I needed was not a small, no money job. I guess they don't want to work. Two strikes and you are out."

"I was looking for a piece of custom cut and beveled glass for a coffee table my wife and I made. These guys were super responsive, very professional and kind. I didn't even have to go to the shop. I was able to do everything over phone and email. The order was quick, reasonably priced and the quality was top notch. I now have a beautiful beveled and tempered glass top for our one-of-a-kind coffee table."
