Reviews
"This is the place to go for a quick visit back in history. You have to study the rocks before you begin to see the petroglyphs but then they start to become very obvious. We have been there twice and only saw a couple of other tourists."
"Such a great piece of retained culture and history. It was very cool to be on such land and very glad it's been preserved and restored."
"Awesome! It’s located behind the Olowalu General Store on a unpaved road about a mile or so back. Having a truck would be the most ideal. If you’re in the area, it’s a nice quick stop to see a part of ancient history. It definitely could use some landscape maintenance, but it was still nice to see."
"Amazing to be in the presence of these ancient petroglyphs! Having seen petroglyphs in several mainland states it was a pleasant surprise when this popped up on my map search! A temporary connection to the past and small window into the lives of the native Hawaiians. A little bit difficult to find if you follow Google maps but worth it. Our only complaint is that there aren't more of these amazing cultural heritage sites left due to the damage that colonization had on the islands."
"Other people gave good directions in their reviews, which really helped to get here. You couldn't go close to the rocks as there are signs saying not to do so, and there is no trail. I was hoping to get closer and look more deeply at the rocks."
