Visitors are advised to monitor local surf and weather reports before their visit. Please note that there is no drinking water available at the park. Additionally, for those planning to visit the Keawa’ula Section of Ka’ena Point State Park in O’ahu or Kōkeʻe State Park in Kauaʻi, there are updated notices regarding facilities and access. Keawa’ula Section of Ka’ena Point State Park currently has the water pump down and comfort station closed, with portable toilets available. Kōkeʻe State Park's Puʻu O Kila Lookout gate will be closed to vehicular traffic for road repairs, but pedestrians can still access the lookout with parking available at Kalalau lookout.

"What an added attraction to view such a beautiful ocean scenery and Hana town from this lookout spot. Tables to sit and rest before continuing journey to Hana. Restrooms are a plus. Make sure you bring sanitizer/hand soap as none provided."
"A great stop to see ocean & waterfalls. The bathroom was clean, but they ran out of paper towels and toilet paper. Lesson learned: bring your town toilet paper when going to rural areas b/c many public bathrooms will be out of paper products."
"Beautiful viewpoint. The park is open 07:00-19:00. There are public washrooms in the place and picnic area. Free parking spots in the place. Highly recommended."
