"Monarch Coffee Farm was the most beautiful and serene place to visit on our trip to the big island. Joshua was our guide and he was extremely kind and knowledgeable. He went into great detail about the coffee processes, answered every question we had, and made a mean cup of joe for our coffee flight! 10/10 would recommend coming to Monarch for your coffee tour in Kona!"
"We really loved this entire experience. We did the walking tour and the roasting experience, and both were phenomenally enlightening and interesting. The people working here are very friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. Of course the coffee is great too! After many years visiting Hawaii and driving buy coffee farms, this was the perfect "first tour experience" for us."
"If you only have time to visit one coffee farm or would like to tour the most beautiful coffee estate, you MUST visit the MONARCH COFFEE FARM! This is a farm you might not find in some travel books but having visited a few plantations, discovering Monarch was one of our greatest treats while vacationing on the Big Island. They offer two tours. A Roasting Tour which takes about 2 hours and in addition to a walking tour of their farm( which cost $25) you actually learn how to roast coffee beans. I decided to talk the walking tour and Erynne was my guide. While the walking tour was only an hour, I learned a great deal about the Monarch Farm, the roasting process and what makes different beans have different flavors. I also met Abby one of the owners of the farm and became so enamored of her farm, I was ready to volunteer to work there as an apprentice! Their coffee prices were surprisingly reasonable and they ship their coffee back for free( once you cover their minimum costs for free shipping)!"
"We were not sure what to expect - there are lots of coffee farms on the island and didn’t know which to choose. We took a chance & booked the Roasting Tour. We arrived to find a stunning, very well manicured property with spectacular views of the coast. This was a top notch tour, start to finish - thank you Joshua & Erynne!! Very educational & we had a great time doing the roasting portion. Looking forward to brewing Monarch Coffee when I get home!"
"We visited Monarch Coffee Farm Wednesday, July 26th, 2023. The tour was so very informative and the grounds were breathtaking! Sal, our tour guide was patient and nice. He answered all our questions and was full of great knowledge!! This is a family run farm including a bee farm where you can buy wonderful coffee and honey. Visit this location, you’ll be glad you did, worth your time for sure!!"
