Kapaia Swinging Bridge, located at 4438 Laukini Road in Lihue, Hawaii, is a historical tourist attraction that dates back to 1948. This 125-foot-long suspension bridge with two wooden towers connected by steel cables is a significant part of Hawaii's plantation culture. "What a beautiful spot! I'm so glad we took a few minutes to check it out. Beware if you wall up the hill past the bridge, you end up at a Catholic church. This is triggering for me. Just stay near the bridge area. There were so many butterflies and absolutely beautiful flowers!"

"This is a neat place to visit if in Kauai. It’s just short drive and the bridge is awesome. Parking is a little confusing, but when I went there were no cars so just parked where I thought I should. No one was there and if you have a time there’s room for a little picnic or relax time."

"A great diversion but not a destination. If you’re headed north out of Lihue then make the stop. Nice historical interpretation and photo opportunities. Going after a hard rain it’s fun to see the creek raging. We parked on the grass. There’s a donation bin to help keep the place running."
