"This is a great look out point, we saw lots of red-footed boby. Recommend some binoculars to get a better look. You'll need to reserve a ticket to get all the way to the Kilauea Lighthouse (highly recommend) where you can see even more different types of birds. You'll likely see Nene from this spot too."
"Beautiful scenery! Saw a couple whales! Didn’t end up going to the lighthouse since you need a reservation."
"A nice, easy walk to enjoy both a wildlife sanctuary as well as an historic part of the island, from Victorian era through the wars and on to present day. Make sure to shop at the gift shop to help support the preservation efforts!"
"Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge is simply spectacular. Its marvelous views showcase a dazzling palette of blues, and nature unfolds in all its splendor. The sky provides a mind-blowing spectacle, and it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re on a trip and have a car, whether it’s rented or your own. Experiencing the sound of the sea and its surroundings is an unforgettable experience."
"Natural point with historical lighthouse that you can walk to. Binoculars available to borrow. Views of ocean, coastline, animals, and birds. Trails for hiking."
