Thank you for the great upgrade at no extra cost, dining every evening in a presence of a beautiful Sunset over the Pacific Ocean. Also thank you for being able to extend our stay for another three days, after my wife broke her arm on our very last day of our stay. Already prior to this accident we had decided we’ll be returning to the Maui Sunset again in a near future. Nice and clean condos on well kept property located right on the Ocean shore, is a great value for the money spent. Once again, Mahalo and we’ll see you soon! Bill & Brigitte Schultz"

"My sister and I planned a one week vacation together for our two families. This morning I booked room 205B through HomeAway.ca and Kumulani Vacations & Realty. The same morning my sister paid for another condo in Haleakala Shores for her family. A few hours later Kumulani emailed to say that the owners of our condo want to stay there for the same dates as us so they cancelled the reservation without asking. They offered us a condo in a neighbouring resort. They are unwilling to pay the $250 cancellation fee for my sister’s condo so that she can move over to the new resort. We are now forced to pay higher rates for a new room so that our two families can enjoy our vacation together. HomeStay, Kumulani, and the condo owners have offered us nothing to conpensate for our financial loss and inconvenience. All so that the owner could remove us from the condo so they can stay there. UPDATE on Sept 13: Kumulami Vacations and the condo owner’s mistake in double booking the condo has cost me a significant financial loss which they are still unwilling to remunerate. I do not understand why they have posted their response to my review (see below) without rectifying my financial loss due to their mistake."
