"This was our second stay here in the last year. The cottage is absolutely perfect in so many ways. It is located steps away from a beautiful hidden beach. The cottage is modern, clean, and has all of the amenities one could think of. We especially appreciate the thoughtful touches including bath robes, beach towels and chairs, and a fully equipped kitchen. The management team were communicative and ensured that we had everything that we needed for the perfect stay. We are already planning our next trip back."
"My husband and I stayed at Honeymoon Cottage for 8 days in January. While a person should not expect the cottage itself to be a 4 star rating, it was very clean and comfortable. My priorities are clean, comfortable bed, and good shower. It met all of those. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. It's away from the bustling crowds, so very quiet. I would describe it to be in a seaside local neighborhood of nice homes, where a few are used as rentals. Honeymoon Cottage is behind the main house that is on the ocean, but you have access via a path to a nice quiet beach. It is protected by a reef, and although we did not snorkel, I think it would be pretty good here. Even in January, the reef kept the close waters calm. The cottage is being managed by a woman by the name of Megan now. Although I did not personally meet her, she was very accommodating. When I called late one afternoon to tell her that the beach chairs were not in any condition to use, she left 2 newer ones at our front door very early the following morning. Also, when we left, I found that I had left my sunglasses at the cottage. She mailed them to my home and insisted that I did not need to reimburse her for the shipping. Thanks Megan! The only recommendation I have is that they put some kind of strips on the edge of the deck stairs... by the way, very nice deck. It is new synthetic wood and the stairs blend with the deck top. It would be easy to not see the steps and have a fall. If you want a 5 star experience... you want to go to the Marriott. If you want to get away from the crowds and are fine with a nice cottage experience, go for this."
"The cottage is a cute hideaway place just steps from the ocean, my second love... as you can see, waterfalls are my first. I can visit waterfalls from the cottage and rest by the ocean. The cottage is comfortable and equipped with whatever I need to relax, get a bite to eat and move on to my next adventure."
"I feel bad for Tuesday and her husband. I also have dealt with a loved one knocking on heaven's door. I will also comment about the fact that traveling with a terminally ill loved one comes with risk. When we couldn't travel we accepted the loss of funds especially if I notified the small business the day before. Remember this small business is Mom and Pop not a huge conglomerate that for the record will give you an optional refund or nonrefundable reservation. I found making reservations with a refundable reservation deposit worked well for us. A little more expensive but traveling with a terminally ill person is risky. I wish Tuesday and her husband Peace as they go through turbulent times."
"I feel I must explain Tuesday's comment. Her husband has been sick for many months. She told me she needed a break so I gave her a discount and explained our cancellation policy. One day before her arrival she cancels. I offered to hold her reservation for a future visit, but after she wrote her comment, I have returned the funds she requested and told her that she is no longer welcome at our cottage."
