"High Fives really has a direct and major impact on the lives of people with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries. As a High Fives Athlete since 2016, I've had the privilege to feel those effects first hand. They've been an integral part of my initial and ongoing recovery, whether I was in California, New York or Pennsylvania. They've helped me cover costs of physical therapy, acupuncture, co-pays, gym memberships and workout equipment. I've also been the recipient of two adaptive bicycles that help me get out into the world and experience a lot of what I lost during my injury. I've been lucky enough to go on some of their adaptive sports trip, including a fishing trip in Montana which was amazing. Just a great community of people that I'm proud to be a part of. If anyone is thinking about contributing to a worthwhile cause and organization, I can't recommend High Fives enough. They have my full support."
"My experience with the High Fives Foundation has been 100% positive. Their staff is welcoming, communicative and responsive. I received a High Fives Foundation Empowerment Grant to help with purchasing a three wheel mountain bike. After a mountain biking accident left me a quadriplegic, the High Fives Foundation has helped me realize my goal of getting back to the sport that I love."
"High Fives Foundation has given me so much of my life back. They have brought great joy into my life again after suffering from a spinal cord injury that occurred from a biking accident. During my darkest time, they brought back the light by rewarding me with a grant to better myself and get stronger to become more independent and navigate through his new life."
"High Fives has stepped in to my life and has ensured I have everything I need to step into the outdoors again. I am confident and comfortable with the equipment they have so generously provided and the amazing team to support this amazing nonprofit. I have been working with High Fives for years and I continue to be in disbelief with their astounding support and encouragement. High Fives has single handedly open the doors to an adapted sport that was my entire life prior to my skiing injury at the age of 15."
"The High Fives Foundation provided me the support needed to obtain the snowboarding equipment required for para snowboarding. Through their generosity I am now going into my snowboard season of training and competitions feeling more confident than before. I know that with the equipment I was able to get through this grant that I can now excel at the sport. Thank you so much to the High Fives program for helping me achieve my goals and follow my dreams!"
