Diamond Head Beach Hotel & Residences

"Unit 301. 2bedroom. Surprised to find the end unit which is on the ocean side of the building has one window (18” wide by 48”high)on the wall facing the ocean? Poor architecture design. Other units had no window facing the ocean. So for the view you really should be on the lanai or balcony. Furniture, and all within unit is dated and well worn. Kitchen had been updated. Location was perfectly walking distance from Waikiki activities."

"We have stayed at Diamond Head Beach Hotel and Residences several times over the past few years and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is perfect for us because it is on the water with nearby beach access, near Waikiki but not in the jungle of high rises and tourists. Each unit is very different and has different advantages and drawbacks. Desk service hours are limited, but management responds very quickly to phone or text messages, and the desk people are outstandingly helpful when they are available. Having a full kitchen is wonderful and gives us a real sense of independence, not found in a hotel. There are lots of amenities and tiny details which we really like, but which do vary from unit to unit."

"A great place to stay just a 15 minute walk from busy Waikiki but just far enough away to have a bit more of a relaxing holiday. Having the park right across the street was wonderful with all of the green space and walking paths. Suite 303 was the perfect size for just the two of us. My only disappointment was the lanai needs some TLC. The furniture was broken and dirty. That said, we would stay here again. The hotel is older but is well maintained. Loved the ocean front community area at the back of the building, especially for sunsets. Mahalo for a wonderful 3 weeks at Diamond Head Beach Hotel."

"I love staying at the Diamond Head end of Waikiki and the DMBH&R is very well situated. Great views from the 8th floor and I appreciated the holiday decorations on the first floor. The patio and grassy area are delightful. The unit we were in had a couple problems. First, it has a very slow drain in the old bathtub. Second, Roku only worked on and off so we would be watching something and it would suddenly stop working. Other than those two items, we were satisfied with the accommodations. It would have been helpful to have 2 fobs from the start rather than having to track down the second one after the front desk told us that there was only one available. And it would be very helpful to have the front desk manned during the day.. At least half the time there was no one there."
