"What an amazing stay I had at Equus! Friendly staff, well decorated rooms with polo swag, and LOCATION are major highlights. Other great things include an awesome outdoor bar (and a free welcome drink at check in!), free water refill spot (next to bar), available parking (std pricing), and in room mini fridge and freezer. If you want to be centralized and enjoy walking, this is the spot that will allow you to stroll to most things in Waikiki. Cheers to the crew!"

"I really hate to leave a bad review, but the room was horrific. I know you pay for what you get. You definitely get a great location and great price but I was not expecting how dirty the room was. The carpet squares were filthy, you felt it on your feet. The bathroom was maybe the worst hotel bathroom I have ever seen. It’s pure neglect from ownership and staff. With a few bucks and some elbow grease I would not be leaving this review. PICTURES SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. Sorry for the review."

"Alright I’m going to start by saying that room service was useless. We even tried to use them the least possibly to bother them less… and they couldn’t even bother to make the bed right. They would literally throw the sheets over, not even get us new toilet paper or replace the towels. And don’t get me started on the bartender “Matt”. My guy, stop hassling people by telling them to go everywhere like you are some sort of expert. If someone is looking for suggestions they will ask you. Most people come already prepared. Stop getting angry cause people don’t go where you want them to go. I literally live here in Honolulu and had to try my best to not make him feel bad by saying “yea yea I’ll go”. It was a bit weird to be honest. The single elevator was a nightmare, rooms are super tiny and very noisy. I wished they told me about amenities such as borrowing beach towels or beach chairs upon check in (I overheard another customer talk about this which is how I found out upon checking out). Good budget hotel, don’t expect the best though."

"This is a family owned boutique hotel, this is all about the location. You can walk anywhere you need to go. Beach, ABC, McDonald’s, Mall. They do have 30$ a day parking. Pros: Sink, fridge in the room (wet bar) Location to everything Super lovely and friendly staff Outdoor bar in the lobby open 7am-10pm 24/7 lobby staff available for whatever you need. Cons: Old elevator (has charm) No lights in the pool/ in a shaded area so it never gets sun. You are down the street from the beach so it’s okay. Dim lit hallways at night. Overall super happy with this hotel & would stay again."
