"Overall our 4 day stay was excellent. We didn’t use housekeeping but it’s available and the front desk will text you asking if you need it. Rooms are tidy. Hot tub and pool available with good hours. Location of hotel is an hour from Napili Bay/Lahaina. It is 1.5 hours from the Haleakala Summit. Good weather. There is only one entrance to the hotel so be prepared if it’s floods due to heavy rains. Grab and Go Snacks/Coffee/ Tea available for breakfast with specific timings. Hotel staff was extremely friendly specifically Lenni and Loa. They helped us with everything we needed/unprepared for. The hotel rooms are tidy and we loved our time there!"

"Stayed at the Ascend for just one night and enjoyed it. The front desk girl that checked us in was legitimately one of the most friendly front desk people I’ve ever interacted with. 5/5 for her personality and service! Room actually turned out to be pretty decent. No complaints whatsoever there. Plus the location is right across from the beach, you just can’t beat it! Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is the price is very high. I think this hotel is worth somewhere in the 175-250 price range at the most. The 350+ rates it goes for is high for this property. They do charge a $25 dollar resort fee, which is totally fine and clearly laid out before you when you book the room. I would stay here again as long as the price comes down to be more comparable with other hotels."

"This was an excellent hotel. Although, I lived in big chain hotels always, this was Cozy and convenient! The room was right across the beach and the parking lot was just two steps away from my room. I will certainly come back to this property during my next trip to Maui."

"Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the outside courtyard is nice . The lobby area is very clean, but that's where it ends. The rooms are dated, paint peeling from the walls, furniture is worn out, poorly repaired walls, dirty baseboards, and smoke detectors that don't have a battery. The microwave, refrigerator, and tv are plugged into a power strip. The hot tub and pool are dirty and are not being kept up. The location is great because of the beach proximity. Overall this establishment is an accident waiting to happen and someone may die here because of a fire."

"Location is good and that’s about it. You’d be charged extra 25 dollars per night. If you care about hygiene and bedding, pick another hotel. Sheets are polyester not cotton, and we found old stain on bed sheet and towels; mattress was too soft for me and my husband. Tiny bathroom and no counter space on the sink. We stayed for two nights and were told no room service would be provided, which is fine if they didn’t charge us extra 25dollars…You can go to front desk for new towels if you need. Beach towel is 1 per person. There was also construction going on in some rooms so it’s dusty. You would also hear your neighbors talking, laughing and walking. Car alarm went off right next to us and continued for 5min, sleep was ruined. Close to restaurants and beach, although during our 2.5 days stay, we did not have the chance to check out the beach right across the street."
