Founded in 1951 by Roy Okumura, Island Grocery Depot is a part of Valley Isle Produce, with a long history of serving Maui businesses through our VIP Foodservice division. Our first store, VIP Cash N' Carry, opened in 1985 and was rebranded as Island Grocery Depot in 2014 to better reflect our commitment to serving Maui residents and visitors.

"Nice local grocery store, located in an out of the way place, parking is a bit strange and limited but doable. Lots of grocery choices including fish, seafood, local veggies, fruits, breads, dairy, alcohol and lots of canned goods. Even bulk squid and other local items. Very, very local! Some things are priced reasonably while others are high. There is a deli type area also, with local take food."
