Macy's 275 West Kaahumanu Avenue, Kahului, HI 96732

"My visit to Macy's has been either a hit or a miss. I wish I could give my recent visit on 10/25/2023 less than 1 star. Although my shopping was no problem, its always the check out. Check out has always been slow but this visit was something else. I was with my 2 year old son, who of course can't be patient with the long wait. Ahead there were 2 open cashiers, one was assisting customer with an online order (which I understand that take awhile), the other was just finishing up. As the cashier has given the receipt to customer, she walks away and goes over to a nearby men's aloha shirts where she starts rearranging and puts the right shirts in the right section. As I wait patiently for the other cashier to finish, she continues to walk around and arrange more shirts that don't belong in a certain area. I've been waiting in line for 15 minutes and I see her rearranging and doesn't care to come back and assist me. I was getting to the point of going to another cashier who can help me. 20 minutes go by and she comes back and checks me out. I was already annoyed that she walked away in the first place and comes back to finally assist me. I lost my patience of waiting and I just gave my payment but she asked me for a phone number or if I had a macys credit card. I said no, I just want to pay for this playdoh set for my son, I've been waiting in line, I was the only customer waiting in line! She finally gave me my reciept and walked away. I wish I could have gotten her name but she had no name badge on. But she needs to finish ringing up customers first."

"The associates working at this location are lovely people: polite, helpful and kind. Unfortunately, through no fault of their own, the store is abysmal. The carpet is one of the filthiest I have ever seen in a store and clearly hasn't been cleaned in an age. It also smells and fills the whole store with a musty scent. Some fixtures are old and broken and there is absolutely no finesse in how things are displayed. It's a pretty dismal shopping experience."

"Found some lovely cashmere sweaters. the ad said 50% off but it was more than that cuz it was priced at 1:49 and I got it for $39. They also had cashmere scarves that we're close to $204 also around $49. Bought some wonderful purses on sale ....one was over charged so need to return to get the discount My Mom and I both bought sweaters for our transatlantic cruise in the spring. Excellent customer service we spoke with a lady who was only Seasonal help but gave us the best assistance with a smile & Aloha spirit!! Don't have much time to shop in stores but so happy to have a wonderful experience even when just passing through to the parking lot!!"
