"My girlfriend and I moved to Fernley and were in need of a couch. We were looking for something oversized as we lounge a lot. The owner showed us sofas from a book and pointed us towards a couch, saying it was oversized and fit our needs. We paid for the couch and were told two weeks for delivery. Well that two weeks turned into 3 and half. Strike one. The owner/manager insisted that was normal and to be patient. Fine. But don’t tell me one thing and then tell me something different. Couch arrived and it was NOT what we had hoped for. Still, we needed a couch and wanted to be peaceful so into the living room. The couch was NOT soft as we requested and were assured was, the chase is barely wide enough to hold one person. I contacted Encore and asked for them to refund and take the couch. In order to do so, I would have had to have the original wrapping(who keeps that) and not have sat on the couch(how in the world does he expect one to try the couch out without sitting?) and he would NOT refund us, but rather provide us with store credit. I didn’t want to deal with guy anymore and didn’t have the original wrapping so we didn’t go any further. Strike two. Fast forward a couple of months and the couch is falling apart. It is just myself and my girlfriend in the house so no jumping on furniture. The hide-away pull out track has broken, the guide wheels for it have broken and the hideaway platform itself is cracking and caving in, making this “lounge” entirely uncomfortable. I will be returning to the store and demanding a refund for such a terrible product that is NOT what we we’re promised. Do NOT buy from him!"
"I walked in found the chair I wanted. Made the deal. The owner agreed to dump my old power love seat. The only hiccup was the delivery drivers refused to pickup the old love seat. But, seems that Brad fixed the problem. The old seat was picked up. I will be buying the matching couch from Brad."
"The man in the store is the biggest liar. Nothing he said was true. He said 90 days same as cash but he lied. He said first payment not until December but he lied. He gave us a price but when we got the contract from the company it was different and he lied. I don't know how they stay in business. We are now going to have to pay more than was told to us. Stay away from this store. Look at all the reviews."
"We were in the market for a new guest room & sofa. We were offered a decent deal during memorial day sales. We didn't look at reviews prior, just walked in after shopping at Raleys. Owner/manager Brad spoke to us like we could'nt afford his furniture, trying to direct us to look at sections of his magazines by saying "that's out of your price range.. That's not what you're looking for.." etc. Definitely rubbed me the wrong way. We picked out a bed, desk & sofa. Brad insisted Friday in 2 weeks, repeated it multiple times (important for later). We decided to cancel the desk, it wasn't even at the warehouse yet but we had a restocking fee with our refund. Irritating but fine, it's a furniture store. The second Friday comes around but no call, so I called only to be argued with that he said Monday. Monday comes around finally & we get the bed frame in(as pictured & sturdy), the sofa however was wrong(wrong color, stitch details were missing, it looked cheap) Called again & was told hold on to it until the correct couch comes. 2 weeks go by & the delivery truck shows up again, but it's the wrong couch again (cushions are wrong, color is wrong, still looks cheap) the delivery guy looks at the picture & agrees it's nowhere near the correct couch. Called Brad again, he was being short with me even though it's clearly wrong. Delivery truck takes the newest one back & leaves us with the first one until we can figure it out. At this point I'm getting impatient, we've waited over a month for a sofa. Brad texts me some new pictures of sofas in the price range of what we ordered because the one we liked was no longer available (something that should have been known after the first wrong delivery) The options all looked cheap, not something that would last with a young family so I had my husband call to just cancel. This is where it got extremely unprofessional for a man who boasts "40 years in business". He started arguing with my husband, getting upset, claiming he did so much for us on this deal & that it was the best deal you could find anywhere, despite us never receiving the couch we ordered. Thankfully we got a full refund on the sofa when they returned to pick up the one they lent us. If we had read the reviews before we ordered through him, we would've just shopped online to begin with. In the end we got a couch we loved from Wayfair & other furniture for our guest room/library space from other online sites. Recap: Always look at reviews & just shop online. Cut out the middle man. You'll get what you ordered & it'll be cheaper too."
"It took a bit longer then expected but the gentleman by the name of Brad was incredibly helpful and very polite. I think the negative reviews are of very soft individuals who dont understand how shipping works. Sometimes furniture comes in late sometimes it comes in early it's not a big deal, I had a very wonderful experience."
