"This place literally has a bit of everything! So I was sad to read the other shopper reviews posted about their disappointments on vibes and prices on items… Honestly, you would find this to be true at most any Thrift/Antique store. People get focused, people don’t feel good, people have bad days - we are human. Yes, its true that some items in the store are a bit more pricey than expected, but, did you really NEED THAT item? Listen up ya’ll, There is a valid reason you need to consider on the ‘why’ of this…. … Riddle me this….Have YOU owned your own business? There’s overhead and expenses that need to be PAID & MANAGED on a MONTHLY basis. It is similar to that if you owned your home or rented a home. You’re renting space from/in a building, so there’s rent for that, Deposits AND insurance… there’s utilities, phone, gas, cooling, Internet for the swipey swipey machines and security systems, cameras, etc. etc. Most people just don’t have this kind of money built up in reserves. Sure, they may have a start out, but there’s ALWAYS that constant flow of BILLS needing to be managed. With “Mom & Pop” stores like this, they are sharing their passion, adventures and discoveries with us, Heck i’d even wager that they probably don’t even pay themselves a wage for the work they put into/for the store… AND THEN ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT…. In order to maintain the broad variety of items for the store, for us, they need to be constantly out shopping and finding bargains/auctions to bring back those amazing items/products to their store to turn around and sell to us. So, next time…. Take a minute and just look around - EVERYWHERE - in this store or others like this, where they have a bit of everything… You will find some really amazing deals and score some really amazing things. You’ll just have keep a mental note and know that a particular store might not be the place for ‘this’ particular item, but it’s an awesome place for ‘that one’! Any Veteran Thrift/Antique store shopper knows, that with ANY thrift/Antique store, You just have to take your time… pick through all of it… and you’ll find the gems. And if you truly truly feel they have over priced on something, have a conversation with them about it or ask to speak with whomever can make the change on the pricing… strike a bargain with them, do your research on the item for yourself, right there, in the store on your phone. Google the item and ask them, “whats the lowest they could go on it“? Then counter with your offer. Just Don’t be rude and don’t lowball… this is a small town business ya’ll… they need our business AND our support."

"I walked into the store, and the lady at the front counter was RUDE. Doesn't look up from her calculator,acknowledge that a customer walks or even just a simple WELCOME TO JUST 4 U. As I asked her about giving donations, she STILL does not look up and acknowledge a customer, which is VERY RUDE, and proceeds to tell me RUDELY that they are not taking donations because of down sizing warehouse. I never will donate to this place of business again. I don't mind at all if you can't take donations from me it's pretty common but this lady working today 05/16/2023 @ 3:45pm was RUDE from the time I walked in."

"The thing people do not seem to understand is that we buy almost all of our products new and used. A non profit thrift store is all donations and does not have the overhead. Are we in a bad mood some days? Of course. Is it messy some days? Of course. 2 people working 7 days per week pricing, sorting and do on get tired some days. $6.00 dvd? Only on multi disk series. $3.00 is our single dvd price. Old items that are over priced? A dry sink from the late 1700’s is pretty inexpensive. A 9000.00 desk listed for 4,000.00 is pretty cheap. We use to call these items vintage and antique but I guess quality is a matter of personal preference. We have some wonderful customers but will always have a few who do not understand overhead and cost and that’s ok because Walmart is just down the road and I think they just started a “ name your own price” program."
