Reviews
"My Kids grew up playing in this park, met up with kid friends, we celebrated their birthday party, spacious and safe four play grounds two sand volleyball courts, basketball, tennis courts and plenty of green areas"
"Great park, lots of play equipment for the kids. We had a family gathering on a 88° Sunday and it was not overcrowded."
"Beautiful park with multiple playgrounds for different ages"
"Lots of park benches throughout the park. Most are in great condition with just two I found that are rusted. 2x Tennis courts in good condition although full of leaves and branches during fall / winter. 2x Half basketball courts. Basketball hoops are broken with court surface in disrepair (lots of cracks, pebbles and leaves) 2x Sand pits for throwing games 1x Volleyball sand court Lots of picnic tables under trees. Bathroom building has 2 drinking fountains and a bottle filling station although it was not in operational when I visited probably because of the freezing temperatures in the winter. Lots of bike racks throughout the park."
"Parks are parks right? Well, that really depends on your expectations and needs. Coming from N. CA, parks have unfortunately become a beacon for homeless and littered with discarded needles/trash. Not to mention both human and pet waste. Not trying to paint an ugly picture of the Golden State, but there is no denying what it has become. Fast forward to Pah Rah Park since that's what this review is about. I'm not the first to say it's a great park. Easy to get to, plenty of parking both in the lot and on the school side entrance. There are more than a dozen picnic tables and 5 play structures for those young and young at heart. Two horseshoe pits along with a couple of fenced in tennis courts and basketball courts. The park is adjacent to an elementary school but it's kept separate by a fence, so no worries about your pet accidentally getting into the school. Wide open spaces allow for plenty of room to stretch out and maintain social distancing during these crazy times. But in reference to my opening comments. Pah Rah Park is literally a breath of fresh air for two and four legged visitors. Not stepping over anyone or having to watch if children or pets accidentally come into contact with potentially infectious or hazardous materials. Not all is perfect. Yes, there will always be those irresponsible pet owners who don't pick up after their pets, even at Pah Rah Park. So watch your step especially in the grassy areas. It's state law folks to clean up after your pets. Nevada has been able to keep it's public parks healthy and for those like myself have fled what's become of the Golden State, DON'T forget why you left."
