"Sad that they are closing this location at the end of the month! Up to 40% off. Wonderful selection & staff!!!"
"Hanifin's is a wonderful antique store! They carry huge variety of styles and different furniture, China, posters, art, and anything else you can possibly think of! The service is very knowledgeable and friendly. Robin was particularly very helpful! When shopping for antiques, I would definitely start here."
"If you happen to be strolling along one of the beautifully renovated downtown streets in Carson City and you have an interest in all things vintage, pop in to Hanifins. You'll find quality antiques of every kind packed into every corner. I could have spent an entire afternoon exploring. Don't bring the kids."
"First they are not wheelchair friendly. I collect Lladro figurine found five that I wanted to purchase. Asked for prices had to wait 20 minutes for owner one piece was damaged in asked the price he said 225 I gasped and said no. Then him blew up on me that I wasted his time and yelled get out of my store. I could buy this same piece on e-bay for 140 with no damage. My stress level was a 10. Talk about time wasted that would be MINE!!!!!!!"
"This place doesn’t even deserve half a star. I had some items that I wanted to get more information on as well as some items I wanted to sell. I called the store to see when a good time would be to come down and the lady on the phone said to come now. After waiting for 20 min. The owner finally came over and started looking at what I had. Btw… I knew what I had and the value. He told me three of my items were silver plate (they weren’t) so I told him to check again. Of course he was wrong. He told me all of it would be $40. There was a Tiffany & Co. sterling silver tea cup from 1890 as well as a pure coin Kidder cup. Those two pieces alone are worth $2200. Once he found out I wasn’t interested in selling everything he said we were were wasting his time and he wasn’t going to “write a book” for us about our items and he walked into his office. One of the employees asked if we got some good information and my husband told her no and he was really rude. He come flying out of his office, cursing, causing a scene, acting like he did us a favor by taking time (8 min.) out of his schedule to talk to us. The worst experience I have ever had. He will belittle your items and rip you off. I do not recommend selling anything to him. You can tell from his store (unorganized and messy)he has zero appreciation for antiques! Such a DISAPPOINTMENT and even worse owner!!"
