"I contacted this office for treatment of my ADD because my insurance covered them. It was difficult to get a hold of anyone in the office, but overall, the staff were helpful once I did. Dr. House wasn't taking new patients, so I agreed to see one of the NPs. All the appointments were telemed, and you could not come in even at request. The intake she took was basic and not very in-depth. I don't recall if she asked me about head injuries, but I've had 3 with one losing consciousness for hours. She ordered 3 online tests for me to complete. I'm on a mood stabilizer for irritability, and I asked if she'd like me to answer the questions with how I'm feeling now or how I was feeling prior to medication. She told me to answer how I'm feeling now. I've had a big improvement in a lot of my symptoms with the medication, and I knew the test would probably not paint an accurate picture, but I did what she said. When I answered the questions, my responses were mostly showing continued trouble with mood irregularity and attention. If I had taken that test prior to meds, I would have shown positive responses to every question. When I had my follow-up with her, she told me the doctor interpreted the test, and he determined I was not showing enough ADD symptoms. I had never met or spoken to him. They diagnosed me with a "general" mood disorder. She then told me they didn't feel comfortable treating me for ADD and suggested taking an anti-psychotic. I couldn't believe her answer to my problem was so vague, and her willingness to put me on an anti-psychotic was so quick. Let me be clear, I was not looking to get stimulants. I've used Ritalin in the past and had bad side effects. I was looking to have a better quality of life. They rely heaily on standardized testing and make their diagnosis on the 2nd visit. They are not thorough, and pysch is something you have to be very thorough in since the diagnosis is made off of only subjective data."
"My experience at house psychiatry started off well enough but quickly came to a disturbing end, where after being put on antidepressant medications (when I am bipolar) as a trial run that was supposed to be monitored by my psychiatrist, a 3 month long manic episode was triggered in which my providing psychiatrist at the time did not monitor or adjust the meds as needed although this episode was very apparent and I had requested multiple times to be taken off them or have them adjusted. I ended up having to go cold turkey off of psych meds to regain control of my mental health leading to severe withdrawal symptoms after expressing multiple times my discomfort and general fear of safety for myself and other clients from the severity of my situation. I was left with no response or follow up to what had happened and when I eventually asked to discontinue services received no information or copies of statements in regards to the situation after asking multiple times. The lack of competence and professionalism I received is extremely alarming and I would be weary of starting services here, especially if you are doing so on behalf of your children or someone who may need extra care in terms of their mental health. Editing to add that I am posting this review several months after discontinuing my services after STILL not hearing back from anyone."
"I give the utmost greatest review of my experience at the House clinic. The team there are so dedicated to the physical and mental health of each patient. The staff was courteous and do all they can to make the patient comfortable, safe and important. I would highly recommend this facility to all who are in need of professional and quality care!! Sincerely Danielle Webster"
"I called on Tuesday morning (5/7/19) at 11:30am to see if I could make a new patient appointment for my daughter. The wait time to actually speak to someone is over 10 minutes, then when you do actually get a live response...they ramble off that they are talking to another patient and place you on hold once again with out even letting you get s word in edge wise. They hung up on me some how then I called back and wait all over again, placed on hold a second time to be treated so RUDELY by the young lady answering the phone. It was obvious she hates her job by the way she treated me. She was bothered with me simply calling and asking any Basic questions. If your first interaction with a new client is this rude and unprofessional, I definatly would NOT want to see the Doctor. I would never refer anyone to this practice because I would not want anyone to be treated in such a unprofessional manner. I called another Doctor and was treated so nicely and that is where I will take my daughter. I'm very disappointed because Dr.House came so highly recommended."
"Be aware of Dr. House's SISTER! She does the insurance billing. She Lied to me about taking my insurance... Then she said she would not after I already saw the Dr! She racked up my bill and then refused to bill my insurance saying it was a carved out policy. I told her she was unprofessional and lazy for not billing my insurance.... Then she ran to her brother asking him to not see me anymore... Which he did because she works for him! I know this because she threw it in my face rudely! This is Absolutely unacceptable service."
