"Not the best, not the worst. My therapist is nice, but still in school. It appears it's hard to get experienced therapists here. I feel my case is more difficult than others, with no real solutions. At times, my therapist seems to be recalling her schooling, and conversation isn't smooth or natural most of the time. I hate that the copay can't be billed. If you miss an appointment for any reason without giving 36 HOUR notice, you'll be charged $100. I'm fine with a charge, but $100?? Also, having one free pass would be nice. It doesn't matter why you miss it, could be on death bed and you'll be charged $100. I'll be honest, the practice itself doesn't give me feel good vibes. Feels outdated, and corporate... while my therapist wants to help, she just needs way more experience for it to feel natural. Because of 90s bubble gum chewing teenager vibe of front desk staff, the tone of callers and vibe, there is nothing about this place that remotely says therapy is 'our focus'. If helping people is their goal, its far from apparent. I will continue to see my therapist basically because it's required by my other doctors and I'm too lazy to pursue another office and have to start all over. If I can help my therapist learn and grow in her career, we'll I'll just do that. Otherwise really limit my interactions with this office. If looking for mental health care, definitely try somewhere else first."
"I had some bad experiences with Great Basin Behavioral Health and with my therapist specifically and originally gave a 2 star rating. I spoke with one of the owners (Chris) and he was very kind and understanding of my experiences at Great Basin Behavioral Health and he seemed to want to try and improve things so I have updated my rating to 4 stars."
"The staff are friendly and the therapists provide excellent knowledge and resources to assist you through your problems, whatever that may be. They have a plan for you, and their plan of action comes highly recommended according to my external source who has also been helping me through things for the last few years. I have made leaps and bounds in a positive direction to create a happier life for myself, with everything I could ever ask for. Thank you so much for everything, it means so much."
"Been in therapy for most of my life and this is by far the best mental health/therapy office I’ve ever been to. Front office staff that listen, call you back, and really have your best in mind. And the selection of therapists are INCREDIBLE! Truly someone for everyone. I typically have a hard time opening up to therapists and feeling comfortable but seriously these people are amazing. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!"
"I can split so easy on therapist and places because of black and white thinking .. please don’t base negative reviews on how others experience are. To give a negative review on places that are staffed and grouped to help people is black and white thinking. One therapist might not be a good fit, it happens .. it’s important to express what your looking to get and how your therapist can get you there. The front desk new who I was from minute one and has always called me by name. I’ve never felt any negative force from the company or staff. It really is a good place to find some middle ground when life’s throwing you a curve ball constantly . I’ve been in Therapy for 30 years with many therapist and many places because of black and white thinking .. don’t be me.. cement your shoes and dig in."
