"So my story begins with over 10 years of infertility. I could not sustain a pregnancy, so we went the IVF route. After finally getting pregnant, and making it past the 8 week mark, I searched high and low for the best MFM in the area and came across Dr. Wilkes at Desert Perinatal Associates. I made my first appointment and after that appointment I knew I was in the best hands possible. Dr. Wilkes is amazing and I truly believe that if not for him, I may not have my beautiful baby boy today. My pregnancy was high risk is almost every way possible, three previous miscarriages, IVF pregnancy, I am overweight, gestational diabetes, and velamentous cord insertion. Dr. Wilkes monitored my pregnancy like a hawk, ensuring that our baby boy was safe at all times. No question was too dumb, no concern was too small. He made us feel validated in our feelings at all times and treated us like family every time he saw us. I appreciate Dr. Wilkes and his team more than I can ever express. He literally made all of our dreams come true. If we were ever to have another baby Dr. Wilkes would be who we choose no doubt!"

"For some, it seems to be much easier to complain than it is to praise a person/people. So let me SHOUT MY PRAISES FOR DR. WILKES, HIS NURSES AND THE STAFF AT EVERY OFFICE LOCATION FOR DESERT PERINATAL. I was referred to Dr. Wilkes through a friend of mine who was a previous patient of His. Now I'll be the first to admit, I've got a strong personality, I'm specific, have high expectations of customer service, and don't tolerate attitudes or people that hate their jobs and take it out on me. That being said, my experiences and every experience, phone call, urgent matter, billing issue, etc. has truly been WONDERFUL with Dr. Wilkes, His nurses, the staff, even billing (shout out to Kannika in billing). I actually was excited when I got calls from billing cause they always explained everything, open to questions, were always kind and Kannika went above and beyond!! Plus, Dr. Wilkes and His team worked with me through the transitioning of my insurance providers, and they were just PHENOMENAL. Dr. Wilkes has ALWAYS made my family and I feel so important, kept me informed every step of the way, never rushed us, my Husband and son LOVE HIM, and He's just a bright, joy of light to be around. Not only is Dr. Wilkes a great Doctor (beyond knowledgeable), I LOVE His personality, His humble confidence, and His compassion and passion He gives everytime, every emergency, etc. I could go on and on about how AMAZING DR. WILKES, HIS NURSES, THE STAFF of Desert Perinatal are but I do want to leave room for other people to leave amazing positive reviews too lol. I do not work for Desert Prenatal, they did not pay me to write this, they don't even know I'm writing this review and I don't even know if they'll ever see it. That being said, if you ever visit DR. WILKES, HIS NURSES OR STAFF at Desert Perinatal, please join me in telling them they are appreciated and awesome!! They have very serious, important, special jobs that require more than just coming to work and punching in and out and the least they deserve are some uplifting, encouraging, praising words!! Thank you Dr. Wilkes, Nurses, and Team for ALL that you guys do, noticed and unnoticed. You all are very much appreciated!! "We liked Dr. Wilkes a lot when we first met him, but his staff was rude and cold. They treated us like we were objects and not people. Then I got a call from our midwife stating that I wasn’t allowed back at his office because I didn’t shake his hand. He should have called me or had someone from his office call me to say that, but the kicker is I DID stand up and shake his hand each time I saw him. Even if I didn’t shake his hand as a doctor he should know that some people have issues with that because of germs or something else. It’s extremely petty and there’s no way I’d deal with those people again. He also said I was confrontational with his staff when I called to ask them about something. The person on the phone denied the thing I asked about ever happened, even though she wasn’t there and didn’t talk to anyone who was there yet. She later called me back, cleared things up and everything was fine. So be careful not to ask these people any questions, they will lash out at you and punish their clients"
