"Ok, being that I live walking distance away, I am going to be a bit biased in my opinion. But! If I had to pick a specific park in Reno to be walking distance from, it would definitely be Huffaker. This is quite a large park, with lots to do! Playgrounds, hiking trails, basketball and tennis courts, circuit training station, walking paths, picnic areas. Everything you could possibly want in a Park- and lots of shade and foliage native to Northern Nevada."
"Great park with amazing scenic view and walking trail. We went around 10am in the morning and had really great time. Best place for short hikes and running. There are some sitting areas for mini picnics but I haven’t seen any restrooms."
"Great park with a huge grass area. Also a nice easy loop trail with decent views."
"Great hike with excellent views of Reno. Not very strenuous but a nice walk before lunch."
"Great entry level hiking area with many vistas and a windbreak made of stone at the to of the hill. A definite must do for any hiker of any level. Also as far as hiking trails go, this place is well kept with plenty of rest stops along the way. Seems like one of the main trails goes to Hidden Valley as well. Just be careful in the hotter months since there are snakes in the area."
