"I would love to give this place a better review but the lack of customer service or a present employee really ruined my stay. Had a multiple day reservation and had to check out a day early. No one was available at the front desk to check out and I have been calling for the past 2 days to an unattended phone number listed on their site and google trying to check out. Had to call the IHG customer service just to officially check out and the hotel still ended up billing me for the extra night. Wish the IHG app was like the bonvoy app for marriott where you can check out on your phone and not have to worry about getting billed for additional nights"

"I stayed several times this year, this is the best hotel in Carson city. The front desk man raised and born in Lake Tahoe is very nice and helped me find my pants , the lady at the front desk is also very nice . I really like this hotel."

"Annoying loud yapping dogs in hotel rooms. Way to ruin someone else’s stay. If it was a human making that noise and dragging its butt across the carpet (yes the rooms stink of animals) they’d be kicked out. Way to go IHG."

"Slightly lower quality than most of the Holiday Inn Exp. hotels we have stayed in before. The room and common areas were clean but the room was noisy. We could hear traffic noise in the room and there were noisy people in the halls at 4am the first two nights and then in the room above us on the last night. The free breakfast was OK but as good as other H.I.'s we have stayed at. Considering the price for this area I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise it would have been 3 stars. When you look at the ridiculous prices for staying in or near Lake Tahoe, the Carson City area is an affordable alternative."

"Decided to choose this place as my hotel while I went to Lake Tahoe with my family, and was glad I did. Check in was quick and efficient, and was even able to change my room without hassle. Rooms were spacious and nice, although the TVs and soap holders should probably be changed. Nice little pool and hot tub, and the fitness room was quite nice- in comparison to not only other similar hotels but bigger/more expensive ones, this one was bigger and had more equipment! Was able to get a decent chest/back workout in. Breakfast was pretty nice, served from 6 am-9:30 am, with a decent selection that maybe could use another item or two offered, and a fixing of the pancake/waffle machine. There was only 2 minor issues which was that housekeeping was unavailable on the last night for some reason during my short stay, but that didn't really matter as long as I got new towels from the front desk, and that the parking was not that great, especially since you can only enter from the front while 90% of the parking was in the back. All in all a good stay during the vacation, worth the price and will consider Holiday Inn for my future stays!"
