"This was the only second time I came to this shop and was very disappointed this time. Not only Chris totally botched my haircut but had constantly insulted me and my hair throughout our session. Absolutely unprofessional and what a bully! His cutting was also very clumsy, heavyhanded, almost amateurish. Phyllis, his coworker (bless her soul), had to tell him what to do before he totally wrecked my hair. I showed him a photo of how my hair looked like when nicely done but he totally got another idea, and went ahead chopping half my hair off (I told him to only clean the top), and gave me a totally different haircut. I won’t be coming back here anymore. Though thanks to Phyllis for looking out for me!"

"Absolutely awful. My poor son has been growing his hair for months to achieve a certain look and just wanted his edges cleaned up. The barber literally shaved his head and took off all his length! On top of that, mirrors are apparently hard to come by so you can’t even see what is happening. Will never go back."

"My brother was in dire need of a hair cut , we were staying in Lahaina and no one could get us in. I googled hair salons in Kehei and DK popped up, a guy named Chris answered and said he could fit us in. This guy was thorough and very easy to talk to . Definitely a go to if we return to Maui, I'd say higher end salons need to watch out for this guy. I normally don't spend my time on Reviews but this guy deserved a good review."

"Had a nice experience at this barbershop. I asked Chris to make a 63 year old guy look a little younger and that was it. He took his time and gave me a very nicely styled cut. My wife was very impressed, which is what’s most important, right? Chris is a very personable and professional young man. I would highly recommend DK Barbershop!"

"She did an amazing job on my husbands hair. She knew exactly how to cut it to look good with the shape of his head and his random cowlicks. He has thick, straight asian hair that can be difficult to work with. She definitely knows what she’s doing!"
