"I'm a very fond shopper of Lahaina Safeway. Not sure how early they open but they're indefinitely closed daily at 9pm. This establishment still takes part in $5 Friday's on certain products & foods you just would need to check out the aisles & what's on sale. The self express checkout lanes area is usually the fastest moving cue, however there's usually 3 or 4 regular lanes assisting customers."

"Clean store, lots of options. Hawaii does not sell alcohol after 11pm. we walked in around 10:30 pm from after our flight in and needed some items and food to recover from jet lag and beer to celebrate. Unfortunately, at check out, we couldn't get the beers. It was OK, but no signs were posted. I am thankful to find everything that we needed and check out was a breeze. There is a membership for discounts and points, but we didn't have that, but some nice locals let us use their card, so we got the discounts on items, and they got our points. We paid, of course, and I saw it as Ohana. Thankful, Mahalo."

"Prices are honestly pretty similar to most other states. But, the staff is demonstrably unkind towards others. Why are you all so angry?Simply asking where something was located feels like a crime. Further, I noticed several items rang up for significantly higher prices (yes, used the membership) and deals written directly on the product label were not honored. In fact, the staff response was to rip the label off of the product at the register with a stern, "no." Is that even legal? Regardless, is that friendly? Of course not."

"I think Safeway is the best grocery store in Kihei. They just did a recent remodel and updated the look of the store and it turned out very nice. There is a ton of parking. There is a nice floral section and it is a place to grab a lei if you are in need. Stop by for $5 Friday to find some good deals. It is the place I go in town to look for deals on meat and stock up the freezer when I find a good deal. Stop by the deli and the hot food section and try the salt and vinegar chicken wings!"
