"I had a good time buying my car same day. Tia was very helpful and did not make me feel pressured. I recommend this place if you know what you want already and have the proper questions prepared. Thanks Star Auto!"
"I recently purchased a vehicle from this location and I have to say that I am VERY disappointed, I have been misled and lied to. They agreed to the sales price and said they fix everything that's wrong with the vehicle and we signed a promissory note then the next day they said they never agreed to such thing and they told us that "they will have there mechanic look at it" which they never told us that and proceeded to make it seem like we lied about what they agreed on originally, after almost a hour of arguing about the price and the promise they made I told them we take the vehicle as is for a little less then the sales price with $1,000 down because no matter what we said they were NOT going to keep the promise they made to us the day before even though they had the promissory note and my husband as a witness but it was there word against ours and our word wasn't good enough. The following days they called me saying they needed the non resident form for the registration which they did not tell me they needed till last minute just to make the price for the registration cheaper for themselves. After i gave them the paper work I went to go pick up my registration and one of the workers there told me that apparently there was a spare key available for us to pick up for two weeks but they had already taken it to go get destroyed and said that someone from the office had already called me to tell me that it was there for pick up which no one called me or left me a vm saying I had a spare key, she then told me that she check the system to see if they called to tell me but said she couldn't tell me if someone did call due to no notes in the system and proceeded to tell me that they are giving me the key out the kindness of there heart even though they lied about telling me about the key being available for pick up."
"Not a big review guy but noticed some negative feedback so thought I’d share mine. To be blunt, the appearance of the inside kinda sketched me out but outside of that I had a quick, easy, and comfortable time purchasing my vehicle. Most dealers are pushy, Cleo was not pushy at all. She kinda has a “Either you want the car or you don’t” attitude which I respect so much. Everyone I interacted with in there was nice, and not that “salesman” nice. I didn’t catch their names but the two women who worked with me on the actual sale paperwork were also solid. I got my car for a really good price, and had an easy experience doing so, can’t really beat that."
"Car dealerships that lack integrity, trust, ethics, and more should be closed by the state. These dealerships are a detriment to consumers and the industry as a whole. Consumers rely on car dealerships to provide them with reliable and safe vehicles at fair prices, but when dealerships engage in deceptive practices, it erodes trust and puts consumers at risk. Dealerships that engage in unethical practices such as bait-and-switch tactics, hidden fees, and deceptive advertising should not be allowed to operate. These practices are not only illegal, but they also harm consumers and undermine the integrity of the entire industry. Moreover, dealerships that fail to disclose important information about a vehicle's history, condition, or safety features put consumers in danger. The state has a responsibility to protect consumers from such practices and to ensure that car dealerships operate with transparency and honesty. In conclusion, car dealerships that lack integrity, trust, ethics, and more should be closed by the state. Consumers deserve to have confidence in the dealerships they work with, and only by holding dealerships accountable for their actions can this confidence be restored."
"This is a two part negative review!!!! I recently purchased a car from Star Auto and the experience was a complete nightmare. The salesperson, Cleo Wada, sold me a car that was back taxed and charged me extra to bring the taxes current before I could make the purchase. To my surprise, when I received the registration for the car, it showed that the registration was only valid for one month, instead of the one year that it should have been. I was shocked and extremely frustrated that I had to go through the process of renewing the registration again, after having just paid to bring the taxes current. It's clear that Star Auto and Cleo Wada were only interested in making a quick sale and didn't care about the inconvenience and added expense this would cause me. This is unacceptable and I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy dealership, look elsewhere." Part2 I am extremely disappointed with Star Auto Wahiawa's referral program and their false advertising. Upon purchasing a vehicle from them I was told about a referral program that promises of a $300 reward if I referred anyone to Star Auto and it resulted into a sale, but when I did, they denied me the reward, claiming that the sale didn't qualify. The salesperson, Cleao Wada, who referred me to the dealership, was involved in this deceitful practice and lied to me about the requirements for the qualifying sale. It's unacceptable that they would lure customers in with a referral program that they have no intention of honoring. I would not recommend anyone doing business with this dealership. Their dishonesty and lack of integrity are appalling. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere for your car buying needs."
