Umekes Fish Market Bar & Grill

"03.18.2024 we had to try Umekes as it comes highly recommended. Parking lot was verybusy so we parked out on a side street. We had a 45-minute wait after getting there at 7pm. There was a lot of room at the bar for the 2 of us but was not ask. We ordered a pupus of Ahi cakes - it was cook to a crisp and dry. I ordered fish & chips - was yummy but fries were really crispy & hard to eat. His fish tacos was yummy. For the price they charge, we expected more than they offered. Will try to come for lunch and have their poke."

"Umekes Fish Market Bar & Grill is a must try in my opinion. There were so many tuna options and they even let us try a few huge pieces before ordering! Some had avocado in there, which made it a creamy flavour. I also thought their spicy crab side was pretty delicious too! Also, the lady who served us was just the sweetest person with the warmest energy. Absolutely loved the vibe."

"Food: as a tourist, the goal was to try something new, with flavor profiles that reflect Hawaiian culture. Their Ho'io salad was delicious. Many poke options, all of which had different yet delicious flavor profiles. Service: i would like to personally mention the bartender Kris who served my boyfriend and i. Kris was very welcoming, personable, and elevated our dining experience. She works efficiently while being able to interact with her customers. Overall an amazing person!"

"I recently visited Umekes Fish Market Bar & Grill in Kona with my daughter and two moʻopunas. Had an amazing experience. Our waiter, TY, was exceptional. He was very attentive and made sure to check in on us often. He also gave us some great recommendations for appetizers, including the Poke Nacho which was absolutely delicious. The sauce that came with it was a real highlight. For our main courses, I had the Ahi Katsu which was filling and delightful. My daughter went for the Kona Mixed Plate which included Kalua pig and Da Avo poke. Everything we had was fantastic and we left feeling very satisfied with the whole experience. TY really made the experience even better, and we will definitely be back."
