"RUN don't walk to this Poke shop! This was the best Poke we had on the island and I would maybe dare to say the best poke ever! Looks like a little mom and pop shop and they were so sweet and nice and let us tried two different poke flavors before we ordered. The poke was just epic and fresh and the price was awesome too! This is our only GO TO Poke shop now when we come on island. Im back on the mainland right now dreaming of my return in a month to come back! Lovely tasting sides also."
"I ate at five different poke places on the island and this was my favorite. Recommended to me by local working at the Portland airport, it was not a let down. First off, the staff was very friendly. On my repeat visit the electricity had died so the rice wasn’t ready and the woman working was super apologetic and nice and steered me towards the poke nachos which were phenomenal. The fish is super fresh and some of the freshest I had on the island when it comes to poke. Really good sides and I was surprised how much I liked the kimchi cucumbe. I heard the Mac salad was great but I didn’t try it as I was trying to avoid too much of a carb overload. Highly recommend the ocean salad and the shoyu ahi. Wish the spicy was a tad spicier. Definitely get the nachos if you haven’t had them before. Can’t wait to go back."
"They pride themselves in daily freshly caught fish, they have several poke flavours to choose from. The poke nachos were a bit heavy, my partner thought the crisps were thick and taste more like a deep fried wonton wrappers. But I enjoyed them. Other than that, a good place to stop for lunch."
"Fresh poke and delightful food! This small shop is a great place to stop in and grab a great size plate serving up fresh fish with complementary flavor profiles. We ordered the poke nachos with the Hawaiian Poke and a Plate with Shoyu and Hurricane Poke. Both dishes were very filling and the portions were spot on with the prices. The kimchi cucumbers and seaweed salad were tastefully done - fresh ingredients with jam packed flavor of the island. The only downside is tight parking. The ambiance is chill, laid back, and open. Hoku was great behind the counter and was so friendly and easy to chat with. Great spot for dine in or take out! Highly recommend for fresh poke with authentic flavors."
