"I am a retired American board certified physician who moved to Henderson, N.V. in 2004. I received treatment from three different dentists in Henderson, all who recommended a 'deep cleaning' four times per year at $1000 per cleaning (total charges including cleaning, antibiotic solutions, antiseptic solutions and anesthetic gum injections to decrease gum pain during the procedures). They all refused to do a regular cleaning. These dental clinics told me if I didn't submit to these 'deep cleanings' my teeth would fall out in four or five years. These dentists performed three filings and two crowns. The tooth under one crown became infected and the other crown became very painful when I chewed. One of these dentists told me he needed to remove my infected crown, pull the tooth and replace it with a metal post. Also, most of the procedures these dentists performed on me were painful--they seemed to have little or no regard for my comfort. Twelve years ago (2012) I began seeing Dr. Sanford by way of referal from my sister-in-law. He told me I did not need a 'deep cleaning' as a routine cleaning would suffice. He replaced my infected crown with a new one and salvaged my tooth. (I didn't need the tooth pulled and a metal post as suggested by a previous dentist). Dr. Sanford treated the other painful crown by simply filing it down a bit so my bite became painless. Additionally, he replaced two fillings the other dentists performed--one fell out, and the other was inadequate. All procedures performed by Dr. Sanford were 100% painless. His anaesthetic technique is flawless. And, he is a kind person. Since 2012 I visited Dr. Sanford's office twice a year for cleanings and dental care. His dental technician, Roger, is thorough, professional and caring. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Sanford and his staff. I consider myself to be one of the fortunate ones who came under his care. And, I still have all my original teeth. Non have fallen out as predicted nearly twenty years ago by the other dentists.
