"Always love coming here for drinks and lunch whenever we're out exploring the area in our Jeep. The vibe inside is awesome, the service is super friendly, drinks are reasonably priced and if you're into whiskey, they give generous pours! If you're into gaming, they do have machines at the bar and if not, they do have a couple of pool tables and a nice card table with some kind of action always going on, especially on a weekend. The food is the only point that I'll have to pull back on a star and not because it isn't good, because it really is but more because it can take forever to get. On our last visit, it took the better part of an hour to get our cheese burger and Valley of Fire burger and that was kind of a bummer. Granted, it was Presidents Weekend and I can be understanding of that but it would have been nice to have been warned it would take that long when placing my order. When I went up to check on it, I just got a nice, "it'll be up soon". That said, I would still recommend The Idle Spur as a stop if you're in the area and if only because it really is a fun place to be."

"Feels like a down-home, Everyone knows everyone super friendly bar and the drinks are dirt cheap. The food is from the food truck next-door and is great quality as well. You order and then they bring it into the bar where you’re sitting. I would highly recommend this bar to anybody coming to visit Sandy valley. Feels like the old west."
