"(1) Nightmare experience, incredibly rude and disrespectful owner (2) dishonest pricing (3) bad repair job (1) Nightmare experience: I don't know if Mike was having a bad day, but in business you need to be a professional. Check your bad day at the door, do your job, be professional. I was nothing but polite to you and that sort of behavior will not be tolerated. I came in to have a PS5 HDMI port replaced. My unit was already opened down to the motherboard as I intended on changing it myself, and had I owned the microscope necessary I would have done so. For no reason, he was bitter and rude. He berated me the entire time I was there and made numerous scolding remarks about how I removed more than necessary... which was blatantly false, for the record. You *cannot* even access the HDMI port unless you remove the metal plate that covers the motherboard and *then* flip the motherboard. He had me mistaken for the average Joe, I may not have the most soldering experience, but I have been building and repairing computers for over 20 years. Then a mother and son enters for their repair, and Mike still continues his barrage even in the presence of other customers! At the end of it all he could not refrain from one last remark "THAT was annoying!" What kind of business owner behaves like this? This is all because he had to re-assemble a Playstation 5.... that is like a car tire installation shop being upset that they have to assemble a tire to the wheel and put it back on the car! (Yes, Mike. That is a reference to your condescending tire remark that you made in front of your other customers.) (2) Dishonest Pricing: Someone called and asked the price to replace a PS5 fan, and Mike stated $100... the caller was taken back, and rightfully so. Fan replacement procedure: remove the white side panel off (hands only, no tools), use a T8 Torx security screwdriver to remove 4 screws holding the fan down, swap the fan, re-screw the 4 screws, slide the panel back on, and you're done. Replacement fans superior to OEM Sony fans cost around $20-$29 online. Thus, for a mere 10 minutes of labor (or less) to remove 4 screws, Mike wanted to charge an absurd $70-$80! Not cool. (3) Bad repair job: As Mike worked, I noticed there was a wire that he was not attaching. I thought to myself "he has to see that, yeah I'm sure he'll do it." I didn't feel comfortable giving it back to my nephew without first checking, so I re-open the unit at home and lo and behold: he did NOT re-attach the wire (see photo). That wire is an antenna for WiFi, thus would have busted the ability to wirelessly connect to the internet. 0/10 customer experience, I do not recommend this place of business. *** See my response to business owner reply in photos.
