"03/2024 Lancer does quality work. I first went there because I needed a place that could work on my plug-in hybrid. I have been going to them for a few years now, and can say they are friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Here's a short story. A while back I brought in a used car to be checked out. The mechanic came back after looking it over and as I stood there he spoke to the owner(? I believe) and the conversation went like this: "Nothing?" "Nope." "Nothing at all?" "Nope, nothing." That gave me confidence they run a reputable shop, deal honestly, and have integrity. Now they have a system in place I've never used before that works via text/email type interface which suggests work that could or should be done. I selected/rejected what I wanted, saw the total, accepted it, and they went to work. I received a few phone calls to flesh out details. Lancer stays in good contact for the duration, and I think they explain at the customer's level and give as much info as desired. Although I did have to reach out (I texted) when it got late in the day to see how things were going, I received a quick response explaining what was happening. I like that they are not averse to making phone calls. They seem to use both texts and calls judiciously - calls for in depth info, and texts for short and routine. Once the repair was finished they test drove it. I know this is probably routine everywhere, but it still sets me at ease because I like to know a shop is thorough. Nobody likes to be without their car, and nobody wants to have to bring it back. One thing I like to see in all businesses is for the customer to be "assigned" to one representative if at all possible so the customer doesn't have to rehash the same thing with someone new. (If you've ever called a place and been transferred, you probably know what I mean.) I'm not sure this is the standard practice at Lancer, but I definitely appreciated Aaron's affable availability as my singular point-of-contact throughout the process. Lastly, the shop is nice, and everyone there seemed ready, willing and able to help. Apologies if this review seems lengthy, but I like to support businesses that treat me right and to give detail to potential customers. - David D."
"I had the misfortune of being sideswiped at slow speed in a parking lot. The first repair facility I had the car towed to basically ran out the clock with the allotted 30 days of covered car rental while my car was to be repaired. When they finally got back to me, their itemization of "necessary" repairs included many expensive items which had absolutely nothing to do with the impact area on my car. I then had the car towed to Lancer Service. Their service advisor, Chad Burg, had their mechanics go over the damage. He called me to say that they had no idea why the other shop had specified so many items that were not needed. Lancer's price came in at about 1/3 the cost of the other shop's estimate. Chad really took care of us all the way through the process. I won't take my car anywhere else."
"I have gone to Lancer for a few services in the past and they have always been wonderful. They are very helpful— especially to someone who doesn’t know a lot about cars—transparent about prices, car needs, etc., and non-judgmental. I most recently went for a loooong overdue brake replacement and they accommodated so that I could bring my car in right away before things got any worse. They were able to have my car fixed in the promised timeframe and I’m no longer driving around with awful brakes. I will 100% return to Lancer and recommend them to anyone and everyone!"
