"Dr. Lisa and her team are truly outstanding! I trust them entirely with the care and well being of our pets. They are often able to get my cats and dog in to be seen the same day of calling and their prices are very reasonable. Our 90 pound pit bull was often turned away from getting nail trims or told that he had to fully anesthetized for them. Vital Animal had no problem getting his nails trimmed up in 10 minutes. They are truly the best veterinary clinic in Sioux Falls!"
"Took our female dog in for an ultrasound to see if she was pregnant. They took her to a different room for approximately 4 to 5 minutes and came back with her ans told us she was pregnant. 2 weeks after seeing this clinic we took our dog to a different vet to have a xray done and turns out she isn't pregnant. Not happy with this clinic, definitely won't be going back to this clinic"
"We were new to the area and our cat hadnt peed in a few days and was pulling his fur out from our stressful move. Staff got him in same day even though I didn't call until after lunch, which is unheard of in the Omaha area. We expected to have to go to the ER but the clinic saw us within a few hours of my call. We elected a procedure to help him and it was also a fraction of the cost than in Omaha. Thankful to have skipped the $1k+ ER Hospital bill. Staff stayed until nearly 6pm working on our cat even though they closed at 5. They also do acupuncture and laser therapy and we will likely bring our older dog in for treatments."
"I've read through several reviews and find it interesting that there are pretty much only extremes. Either people say they love this clinic or are quite frustrated with them. I'm in the camp of being frustrated after recent experience. I would bring my dogs in to Dr Williams for the past couple years and was very happy with him. But I can also respect this office now wanting to increase prices because of sustainability of the business. The problem that I have experienced is communication .. or lack thereof. I brought my dog in and we determined allergy tests were in order. Dr told me that doing both environment and food tests at the same time would make the total cost less and she said about $300 vs $200 each .. they charged me $460, which I didn't notice until I got home. I called and they said they would give a $60 refund to my card which I accepted and didn't push further. More than 2 weeks later, the refund had still not been issued and I was still waiting for the office to call me with the results (which they said should take about 10 days). I called and was informed that they had the results but could not give them to me, only the Dr could give them. I was told she would call me back that day or first thing in the morning and the refund would be issued immediately. I do see the refund now however I did not receive a call that day or the next day. My wife ended up calling the following day to get the results .. and was able to get an answer, but then she was also told they would check on what options there were for treatment and call back again with a price and proposal. And of course, we've not heard from them. At this point, we are done with this vet. Communication is important and if they cannot be bothered to call us, then it seems they have too much business already and are in desperate need of some of their customers to go somewhere else. I will accommodate. Edit to add. I lowered from 2 stars down to 1. Reason for change is because the vet office asked me for a Google review at the time of above visit. They told me that I would receive 10% refund on the bill if I posted the review. They didn't specify it needed to be a "good review" to receive the 10% back, just needed to give a review. I never received this refund. Be skeptical of the honesty in the good reviews."
"We called a lot of places trying to get someone who would be willing to look at our Guinea Pig and they were the only ones who took the time to listen and allow us to schedule an appointment for the next business day! We brought the one in and they confirmed all was well and even was willing to look at our second one the same day - just to be sure. A little background - we lost one unexpected earlier this year - mainly because no one would help... Had we known about Vital at the time, I'm thinking we may have had a different outcome. Anyway, the Guineas do not live around here but were coming to visit and the first one was sneezing so we were worried! They took the time to listen, eased our concerns and made us feel at ease. Highly recommend!"
