UMC Quick Care - Sunset

"this place is a joke. i have asthma and am sick with a cold. I went in to get medicine to help my cough. The nurse practitioner was in the room with me for no more than 3 minutes and performed a strep exam on me (i have a cough). I was confused as to why she did a strep test but I was going to wait for the results to keep talking with her. I realize an hour has gone by and nobody has come in my room to share the results with me or anything. I step out of the room and let the nurses know that I have been waiting an hour ONLY for results and have practically not even been seen by a doctor. They advise me I will be discharged soon and as I am walking back to the room I hear the nurses laughing and mocking me for being upset with the wait time. Not once was I disrespectful to any of the healthcare workers and their comments felt very unnecessary! I was prescribed promethazine and decided to look up what this medicine was used for. This medication is for sore throat (which was not my reason for visiting urgent care) and it is stated very clear on medical research websites that “promethazine is not to be taken with asthma or albuterol inhaler” Not only do I have asthma, I was also advised to continue taking my inhaler 4-6 a day while on this medication. The front desk staff and the male nurse that helped me were very sweet, other than that I have never experienced such ignorance. They changed my prescription after I called with my concerns. if you care about your health, do not come here!!!!!!!!!"

"I went here when I had accidentally cut my finger open. They got me in and out super fast it was crazy. The doctor who sewed up my finger was very kind and humorous. Couldn't have asked for a better experience."

"I just went there last night before they close, I understand we are human an we make a mistakes I didn’t realize the lady in front desk put my daughters born year she puts wrong because my daughter is sick very sick(bronquitis) after that I went to the ones pharmacy is open 24 hrs and I can’t get it because of the mistake, next day Early morning I went back to the quick care and I don’t know the name of the nurse she wasn’t very friendly,helpful and nice is the worst an unprofessional “person “ un respectful. I understand mi mistake to yo not check all information was right but if you have your kid sick for consecutive days and see is getting worst, the only thing you think is your kid is getting better as son as possible. I never have these bad experience with “profesional “ staff and I have 2 more kids and they are teenagers. Without counting the doctor was rude too very disappointed on this UMC quick care."
