"This is my first time visiting my new neurologist. After getting a little lost (more on that later), I arrived and check in was easy despite me not being able to use the portal link sent to me a couple days prior. I had barely finished my paperwork when I was called for my visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful which I was thankful for since I was really upset at my difficulties finding the place. Full disclosure, I have had multiple sclerosis for nearly 20yrs so I was not expecting anything beyond what I already know. The new provider, Bobbi Lee Roth was very nice. She walked through my original diagnosis and even sent me home with a printed image of my MS lesions something I'm a bit embarrassed to admit I've never seen after nearly 20yrs and 5 different neurologists. She asked if I was happy with my current DMT and suggested maybe getting on something newer. She addressed my concerns about prescriptions which are a little complicated due to my enrollment in a manufacturer assistance program. I'm not thrilled about the location because it's quite a distance from my home and Google maps could only get me so far. The app kept trying to lead me to a set of buildings that turned out to be across the street and around the corner. The app also quit responding which made it difficult for me to stop it so I could call for directions. Overall, I'm so thankful that they take my insurance and I left there believing I'm in good hands."
"Dr. Peng is probably the worst doctor I've ever encountered. I'm not sure if it's a sexism thing, but I've read a lot of reviews about his dismissiveness, and my experience was no different. I refused to ever see him again after he asked me if I "were sure" I didn't drink. Now I just see Bobbi Lee, who is compassionate and listens to my concerns. Also notable is that after seeing Dr. Peng, I was later diagnosed by another physician with a vestibular disorder (SCDS) that accounted for several symptoms I was experiencing. Instead of assisting me in finding a diagnosis or a solution, or even taking me seriously, Dr. Peng subtly insinuated I was an alcoholic. I don't drink, and while it's insulting to be called something I'm not, I was MORE offended that he thought I was a liar. I cried in my car for almost an hour after that appointment. I was so angry that I told the front desk I never wanted to see him again. The unfortunate part is that he still advises other doctors on my behalf. When I went to the ER, he overrode Bobbi's recommendation of a biopsy and had them send me home, even though I hadn't even seen him regarding this condition, and IN SPITE OF the fact that another ER doctor had me transferred to that hospital for the sole purpose of having a biopsy. THEY were concerned, but for some reason Dr. Peng, who wasn't present, agreed with the receiving physician that I was fine to go home. I hadn't laid eyes on him in over a year. The receiving physician just didn't want to deal with a biopsy in the ER when it was packed, which is understandable, but there's no reason to be dismissive. It sucked to have my time wasted. Not only that, but the ER physician had the conversation well within earshot of me AND my wife (I was on a bed in the hall) and on her end it was extremely disparaging. She said I was "definitely overweight" and "at least 140-160." For the record, I'm 135 and my BMI is in the normal range. I hope Dr. Peng responded differently, but I highly doubt it. I don't understand why doctors won't take their patients seriously. Do they think we ENJOY being there? So at this point, I don't trust Dr. Peng with my medical care, or anyone's. He's not only been incredibly unprofessional, but he dismissed my symptoms even though they were suggestive of a vestibular condition. Worse, he suggested they were due to alcoholism, and that's something I won't ever forget."
"I had four very expensive tests taken, that's all! Dr. Peng never shares the results with me to see. I have been going to him for almost six years and he has done nothing for me except giving me a prescription that any other doctor could have prescribed. He recently gave me a sample of a new drug that should not be taken with my other prescriptions. I called his office for advice. They haven't returned my call. It makes me wonder if he knows what he is doing. I don't want to waste anymore time or money with him again!"
"They abandoned me!! I've been a patient of theirs for years now and depend on my regular migraine medicine. I've been calling for 2 months to get a refill under my new insurance and they haven't called me back, not once! I'm now seeking a new provider. Don't waste your time with this group. They get an F from me!!"
"If I could give zero stars I would!!! My husband is fully paralyzed which requires him to use a Hoyer lift and a wheelchair. We came to his appt today and the rude Asian front desk girl proceeded to tell me that since we were 7 mins late we would be charged a late fee. And she could see if we could get in. I am a woman and had to use the Hoyer lift by myself that's set up and break down along with the wheelchair. And u want to charge people that are disabled. Their front doors are not even handicap accessible. The girl watched me struggle as I tried to wheel him in their door. Do not come to this office if you want professional staff that care and follow handicap guidelines. Because they don't!!!! My sister-in-law is a neurosurgeon we will be having her report to this office."
