Dr. William T. Miyazaki, DO

"Dr. Miyazaki offers everything I have been looking for in a doctor. I have lived in Reno for 11 years and been though a ton of doctors due to various health concerns and I have not been fully satisfied until I started going to Dr. Miyazaki. He takes the time to listen to each concern I have during each visit. He is not afraid to order tests to make sure they back up his diagnosis or rule out other possibilities. He always takes me serious if a medication is not working for me or has side effects that I would rather avoid. Even Emily, his lead medical assistant, is friendly and approachable. She always makes sure everything is updated in my chart before Dr. Miyazaki comes in, and follows up on my medications and lab orders quickly. I am very happy with the care I have received at this practice."

"I only go because of the NP, and I like her, but the staff and Dr. M are horrible. Refills are impossible to get and they r not pain pills either. I have to fight with the office to do prior authorizations on important meds like insulin. Thank God when I got my endocrinologist, he took over my insulin but it was was a pain to get this office to do it and ran out sometimes. And the staff is just rude on the phone and Dr. M constantly wants to see u just to get ur copay even when u just need something simple and you were just in the office a few weeks ago. They have confused me with other patients (like assuming I was the patient before me and hands me their bill even before I can give the girl my name) Avoid this office if u can."

"Terrible, unorganized, don't care about the patients. Behind times. Can't even get a refill on prescriptions. 15 year patient there. Totally is inadequate. They make me feel ill because they can't. Even fill a prescription, such as blood pressure, stating. That doctors office will give me a heart attack. Terrible month after month."

"It’s a ZERO not a 1 star!!!! The staff is very rude, I went in for a first visit my Wellness check that is covered and have my blood pressure meds refilled and they billed my insurance for something else, they billed for OBESITY!!! And FYI I had an appointment for a week later with a specialist which my insurance doesn’t require doctor referral for specialist!!! The service was not good, long wait rude and unprofessional staff and when I went to the drug store to pick up my meds that I requested to be for 90 days they sent only for 30so I called them and they said my insurance didn’t cover, I took their word but in few days I called my insurance and they said us they covered and there was no request for 90 days ever submitted Next month I had to call 5 times to get a refill on my high blood pressure meds and I was out of the meds for 5 days before I got them sent out and again instead of 90 they sent out 30 again. It has being nothing but headache and pain dealing with the office staff. I called over 20 times to get my last refill and was on hold for hours and nobody would get back to the call and I Got disconnected so many times. I used to be Dr Miyazaki patient since 2006 till 2010 and now I moved back to Reno and when my new insurance covered Dr Miyazaki decided to go back but it was the worst thing I could have done. I never had such a bad service in the medical field like this experience, and I am talking about just one visit, I am since November trying to get it billed correctly and the insurance called them too ask to fix but they won’t!!! I have to pay $190 for a visit that should be only my copay of $45. I had to call my previous doctor to get my meds and they billed me for the correct visit not the wrong code just to make more money like Dr Miyazaki’s clinic did.. DO NOT GO TO STEAD MEDICAL! THEY WILL CHARGE FOR SERVICE THAT WASNT PROVIDED JUST TO MAKE MORE MONEY"

"If I could give 0 stars I would. You will wait in the room for over an hour without anyone to come and talk to you and if you want a prescription refilled good luck because you can call a month in advance and still wouldn’t get it in time. Definitely changing to a different primary doctor, sucks because this location is convenient for me but quality is more important."
