"Do NOT go to this college. The credits do not transfer. The staff are unprofessional. I wish I had left this school to go elsewhere when the opportunity came 2 months into the program."
"I had a good experience during my months there. Things changes often but they aren’t always for the better so I Beverly really minded and the teachers really cared if I succeed or not. I went on after all this to get employed at a good job with my experience and current knowledge."
"They will hold your paperwork and certificates hostage, if you call you can’t get through to the right people, and nobody in the office knows what they are doing. I requested my transcripts 4 times, twice by email, left a voicemail, then had to show up and I got an envelope, I was made to input another request because I wanted them emailed. The receptionist is RUDE. This “school” is a joke. Staff admits they don’t know what they are teaching, and that they don’t teach you what you need to know to be licensed. If you attend here be ready to buy your own books and teach yourself. I had to buy a NCCT and ECG book to try to understand things. Staff also goes around yelling at students as another review here mentioned. Very unprofessional."
"This school is not even worth a star. The medical assistant program teachers are unprofessional and love to be apart of drama and add gasoline to the fire. You do not learn a portion of what you need to be an efficient student let alone medical assistant. This school is based off attendance more then knowledge. They don’t care if you have a 98% if you have 79.9 percent In attendance you will fail that mod. Again you do not learn anything besides how to copy words for homework off sentences in the books. You’re not reading the books to learn anything you’re reading them to get the missing words to get in the worksheet. You do Microsoft assignments and a ridiculous amount of typing tests that have nothing to do with the program itself. Teachers like Ms Smith will teach you improper methods of injections, especially glute. They provide the saline solution for the injections but have known to be expired or even given to use on other students when the bottle states for demo use only. So keep an eye out. DONT NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY GO TO ANOTHER SCHOOL if you want to learn how the environment truly works and the proper methods they really use. Las Vegas College teaches students to write progress notes but won’t teach you how to do referrals, obtain labs or input patient information on a computer like other schools do. They give you a tablet so you can access your book but that’s it that’s the most technical thing you do."
"Very frustrating interaction with the school and the woman in admissions is extremely rude. I called yesterday and was asking questions about a particular program and she did not know any dates or give any real definite amounts or days. She than started talking to other students and when I was trying to speak with her she said " her appointments were there and that I would have to wait" Why answer the phone to start talking to other people if I have questions? I then asked if I could receive an email as I am a full time student currently taking 15 credits and work graveyard shift. It does not make sense for me to come in and have an appointment with you when you can advise me over the phone when I work 12 hour shifts and either am in class or sleeping during most business hours. I called back today because as she dismissed me on the phone yesterday I had to hang up as I had class. I called back today and get transferred to the same lady she keeps gatekeeping information telling me she can only tell me the curriculum when she could have an appointment with me over the phone she said she will only tell me information if I come in person when Im sure during covid most things were done online unless deemed necessary. Once dissastified again I asked for a supervisor she said there is no supervisor in admissions I requested to speak with someone else and she said I will transfer you back to the front. Why recruit students if you treat them like this? Why gatekeep an ASSOCIATES PROGRAM? This college isn't UNLV or CSN its a new program be transparent. !!!! Very frustrating."
