"I called and made an appointment to have my son assessed for dyslexia and find a way so that we could better understand how to help teach him. Betty Judith set the appointment for 1 PM and told me that the assessment would be done at her residence and to park in the driveway with instructions not to arrive early. She said it was a 2 day assessment and she requested $100 deposit fee through Venmo that I paid to reserve our appointment. I arrived at 1 PM and called her to let her know we were there. She said she was not ready for us and need in 15 more minutes and for us to wait in our car. After a half hour she open the door and invited us in. Most of the first part of the assessment was gathering our information address, phone number, etc. There were many distractions at the house. Her dogs we barking and she had to stop to put drops in her dogs ears and asked us to help. There were multiple packages being delivered to the house, and she asked me to get them from her front door and bring them in the house. She even asked me open one package in it was 2 of the gallon size bottles of vinegar and she asked me to put them away for her. She stoped and wanted Starbucks at one point and she offered to buy us drinks. She spent about a half hour trying to order on the Starbucks app and I ended up having to pick it up. My son told her that he was being picked on and bullied at school and she replied with we need to get you into a new school. Then she said to my son that is 9 that she did not want him to take a rifle to school and kill a bunch of people and end up in prison the rest of his life. She also said that she could fix him as if there was something wrong with him. This is something you do not say to a kid, it was very inappropriate and upsetting. My son asked me and my wife why would she say that I don’t want to hurt anyone? My son was very hurt and confused by the things she said and she should not be allowed to speak with children. I called her and left a voicemail canceling the next appointment and that we weren’t going to continue with her program. She is inconsiderate of peoples time and also should not speak to children the way she did to mine. Please do not bring your child here it did way more harm than any good."
"Ms. Betty is excellent at yielding success in her line of work. Thank you!"
"We just finished our 30 hour tutoring course for dyslexia with Betty and couldn't be happier with her program! With 30+ years experience she has all the information and training to help her clients succeed. My son is 12 yrs old and finally feels confident in his education path thanks to all the techniques Betty has taught him. We started her program with a reading assessment and my son had 16 mistakes on a 3.5 grade level reading sheet. At the end of course she retested him with the same sheet and he only had 2 mistakes! TWO! I have no doubt that her program will continue to bring him these major mile stones in his education."
"I was an educational tutor for students coming through The Dyslexia and Learning Disability Center. Betty Ann Judah, the director and an expert in this specialized field, developed an effective and dynamic self-management program for dyslexics of all ages. This program is now used by thousands of people around the nation. I highly recommend this life-changing program. The Center offers complete assessments and year-round dyslexia services."
