"this school is one of the kind of worst places i could be. i'm not really sure how to explain it, but it scares me. the kids at this school are extremely rude, and gossip about a certain someone just because they don't like them. this mostly comes from 7th graders-8th graders. I go to this school, and I have good grades and all, but my mental health is downhill. i got gossiped twice, and these people are just rude. that's one part; the school lunch is tasting weird. it doesn't look like what it's supposed to, and it makes my stomach hurt sometimes. i do understand that you want us to eat healthy, and that some of the pasta is like that whole grain, but i don't think its too suitable sometimes. i just think that maybe we could change it up somehow. the writing on the bathrooms is a bit too much. people write names, and include bad words on them, and write their phone numbers. i just think that this characterizes that our school doesn't really understand the concept of its art; i think that you should repaint it, or maybe teachers can monitor whether or not a student is either A. skipping or B. having a pen/pencil in their pockets or hiding somewhere. another reason: some teachers are rude, and they don't respect their students opinions. they don't respect their beliefs sometimes, but I do understand that teaching is a hard job. i just wish that they could take care of "class clowns" and teach them something other than just letting them put a bad influence on 6-7th graders. that's just what i think though. also, forgot to mention, the school only care about high schoolers. they barely care what they wear but still criticize us on what we wear even if its in dress code. the kids there are full of themselves, and even caused one of my friends to be homeschooled because a boy kept sending her gifts even though she was uncomfortable with it. even so, there was a kid who kept making women uncomfortable (such as me and my friends) and took a while for him to get expelled. we came here to learn, not to be depressed, stressed, or to even listen to drama. yet still, this school doesn't listen too much. i get it, its hard, but please try to listen. thank you for allowing me to take my time. sincerely, a 8th grader."
"They can't even update their school calendar but can email you several times A-day in a week for staff development day for voting for the best of Las Vegas and for fun raising but if it's outside of voting for the best or for fundraising they make you read the red rock run down which is a waste of time. put it on your calendar so we can go to the website we shouldn't have to access that through our email either to see what's going on with the school the principle is rude, demeaning and condescending. And once you ask for a superior's name in email she then doesn't know how to respond all communication has ended at that point on her side."
"I am concerned about the lack of parking spaces for parents picking up their kids. They closed down the parking lot and reserved it for senior students who drive. However, the parking lot is not even 1/3 full. This forces parents to park on the streets where parking is not allowed. Worse, kids are forced to cross the streets because parents are unable to park within the school premises. If those kids get hit by passing vehicles while crossing the street, they are opening themselves up to lawsuits."
"I love the Doral School system. My son has been a Doral student since the beginning of 6th grade. He started at the Pebble campus, and has transitioned to the Red Rock campus for High School. He is now in 10th grade. Compared to Clark County Public Schools, this school has teachers that are responsive to parents, and willing to work with families where there are concerns. I recommend Doral to all of my friends with school aged children."
"My daughter has been in the Doral system since 4th grade and is in 11th grade now. We love Doral and love the way they handled this current crisis. They stepped up and had these kids online right away. I can tell you all the teachers have been excellent. And if your lucky enough to have him, Mr Albert goes above and beyond for his students. And if you ever have a problem the Admins fix it right away. Couldn't have asked for a better school."
