"School nurse Cindy pulled out my daughter's tooth after she said not too. On another date, school refused to help my daughter when she had an allergic reaction in her eyes. And everytime I pick up my daughter from school, the nurse stands outside starring at me."

"I'm a former student here. I enjoyed school here and had a lot of memories here. There were ups and downs, but I made it through. I met a lot of different people, but after moving out of state, I've been in no contact with any of my former friends. My Algebra teacher was one of the most responsive. My English teacher was a very good teacher because he had a very good reputation and never favored specific students. My con was that some classes were not challenging. My 8th Grade Science class was quite boring and I didn't learn too much from the 1 semester I took. I wish they could have made an Physical Science class, instead of 8th Grade Science. I'm in Biology in 10th Grade. Some kids are already in Biology as Freshman. My 8th Grade Teacher wasn't very hands-on with the guitar. She never really showed us how to play the songs she gave us. My World Geography class was one of the most unprepared classes since we usually learned random topics like Hiroot and where to put the continents on a globe. My Algebra class, while tough, had one of the best teachers ever. My English class had one of the most engaging teachers in the school. Some students can seem sketchy at times, but these are mostly rumors and accusations made by prior reviewers. I'm not denying what they say, but I will say that I never had experience with drugs on campus. Again, I enjoyed this school, but there are some improvements that CCSD can work on for this school. The charter school just have tougher classes like Physical Science and even Environmental Science. This school has retained its 4 stars out of 5. It's a good school, with some problems that can be fixed. This is a new school. Problems will come."

"I am an Instructional Coach at this school. I came from CCSD after 18 years. I enjoy the students and teachers, as together they create a respectful learning community. The school has a little over 900 students. Teachers are encouraged and want to collaborate with peers to better support each child’s needs. Developing the whole student is absolutely the center of this schools foundation. Doral Fire Mesa is never going to be to big where a student will get lost in the system. The structure of the charters just will not permit that. It was designed to develop a the whole student, each and everyone."

"I love this school. Very clean school. Teachers are nice. Lots of activities for the kids. Variety of classes besides the basic Math, social studies, science, reading. My only complaint is the "carpool" system. I already wrote a long winded review on YELP in regard to this. Basically their drop off system is WAK. It's a drop off system so people should understand the simple concept of pulling over, letting their kids out and slowly drive away. Instead......parents stop, get out of their cars to open the doors for their kids to get out, converse with them, kiss and hug them for several minutes, get back in their car and continue to sit there until they watch their child enter the playground and sometimes the building. This backs up the line because 5 out of 10 parents do this in the carpool lane. So people like myself who are trying to get their child to school on time or hey...maybe actually get to work have to sit for several minutes until the coast is clear. So yah...I guess I wrote another lengthy post about the car pool system. Once they master this life will be good."

"Both of my children enjoy attending Doral Academy Fire Mesa campus, they're learning a lot and love their teachers. Son is 5th grade and daughter 2nd grade. If you are lucky enough to get a spot(s) for your child/children, don't hesitate. The campus is clean and secure, and brand new! Staff is excellent and courteous.
