El Pollo Loco

"I ordered a classic chicken burrito and there were bones in it, also there was no chicken in it. How one forgets one of three ingredients in a burrito is beyond me. Every time i order extra sauce at the drive through screen they either forget to give me it or just rip me off for the 2-3$ it costs. It hasn't happened just once it has happened enough for me to be complaining about it online. When you get to the window there is a lady who is pretending she doesn't speak english so she doesn't have to assist you with anything else. If I’m gonna be spending upwards of $20 for a meal I might as well just go to chipotle because then I can at least have better customer service and an actual portion of chicken. The ladies that work here aren’t rude they are just lazy in my opinion. And it shows in the quality they bring to the business. As far as my business, it will not have it."

"The food is generally good, but sometimes the chicken is a little on the dry side. It's not a deal breaker for me. I like this place a lot. The only complaint I actually have is how backed up the line gets in the drive-thru. The service is hit or miss regardless of the time or day you go. I can say there's 1 or 2 employees (drive thru) who provide great service. If there's a wait, there's always some kind of acknowledgment of it and an apology, which makes it tolerable. Other times (with other employees), they seem to not even care and dismiss the fact that I waited 20 minutes for drive-thru service, so it's not so great. I chalk it up to lack of experience in the industry. So I gave a 5 for food, a 4 for service, and nothing on atmosphere. I can't speak on the atmosphere because I've never gone inside."

"I ordered rice only, in the drive-thru. I guess the lady who took my order didn't understand what I was asking in regards to sizes and servings and became frustrated. When I pulled up to the window. No mannerism and attitude was on 100. I should of pulled off instead of giving them my money! When employees/businesses act like that it's a major turn off. Will not be returning to this location again. Side note; if you can't handle basic conversation, questions with customers. This type of job is not for you."

"We used El Pollo Loco for a large catering order. The food was excellent. The only reason we rated them lower on service was because our order was not ready when we said we would pick it up and they messed up our dessert order. We were feeding 100 people, so we ordered 10 orders of 12 churros but they only gave us 1. They didn't charge us for them so we didn't make a big deal out if it. The people that were working our order were very nice and helpful. Everyone loved the food. We had almost nothing left except tortillas and chips."

"on 4/6 @ 8:30pm, I walked in and didn’t see any chicken on the grills. I ordered a chicken only meal and asked that it be cooked juicy but was told the only chicken available was that in the warmers. When I received my order the chicken was lukewarm and just shy of being cold. I asked that it be warmed up and was told it would be placed in the microwave oven and not on the grill. I found this a bit odd since, the microwave tends to dry out chicken and EPL uses grills not microwave to cook their chicken. Now, in fairness, I did arrive 35 minutes to closing and this may have had something to do with chicken not being on the grill. With that said, I would offer the following recommendation. One grill should be designated to warm up chicken for orders coming in 30 minutes prior to closing. This would eliminate the need for the microwave allowing the chicken to retain its flavor. I believe this recommendation would not interfere with closing operations and would be appreciated by customers. With respect to the dining area it was clean and the staff was very professional and friendly. On October 9th, shortly after 10:00 am, I visited the El Pollo Loco located at 10585 S. Eastern. As I approached the door I saw an employee (Female late 40’s), cleaning the windows with glass cleaner/disinfectant and a towel. As I entered, the same employee walked behind the counter (without washing her hands), and took my order. She then began assembling my food on the tray and ultimately serving it to me. I found this to be extremely unsanitary, unhealthy and dangerous to customers health. This coupled with the real possibility of cross contamination with cleaning products and food further heightens its importance. While dining in, I observed another customer walk in and observed the very same employee repeat the exact scenario from cleaning to serving food without washing her hands. In light of the viruses that have impacted our communities, It’s imperative that this be addressed immediately with management and staff at this location. This was my last time visiting this location."
